I got this upper strut mount that went south. I installed some Koni struts a few years back & been noticing this strut start to look loose. I can't find a good breakdown on the parts I need. I think I forgot to put the bottom bearing spacer in. I looked down below the mount I didn't see one. Then again I didn't look real good. Some of the hardware came with the strut but not sure if I can use OEM stock hardware to bring this strut back. Not sure if this is common with stiff Konis. Any idea what kind of price the upper strut mount is? Any upgrade or suggestion welcome.

Looks like the tophat is still there to me. Seems that the washers #10, #13 are missing.

Yeah once long ago I put my struts on and forgot the washer that sits below the rubber bushing, and the car was fine for about 2 months when it finally gave out and poked up through just like that. :)

I agree with LX-incredible, check to make sure you have all the right washers on there!

Thanks nswst8 for that diagram & all the input. That diagram helped me see what parts I need. After further inspection tonight, I did forget to put #13 washer on the bottom.:slap: The top washer is there.
The rubber bushing that sits in the tophat is pretty chewed up, along with the bottom rubber bushing. The bottom piece of the strut rod that holds the washer did a number on the rubber bushings. I'm going to replace both of #7 & put #6 in there, along with #13 washer this time. I work across the street from a Honda dealer, so I'll get the parts there. That shipping & handling can cost more than parts in this case if purchased on-line.

edit- now after this is fixed, the exhaust will finally be put on. Need to get it on before the cold weather gets here.
