Yeah, those are really clear. Thanks! I have to get after my cruise. It keeps losing speed.

so where's the most likely spot to start trouble-shooting this damn thing? bc my cc doesn't work atm, but not exactly sure how to go about repairing and don't wanna just tinker.

i would start by making sure the pink clutch switch/auto seletor wire grounds while driving so it will enable, make sure the brake switch isnt stuck on/fucked and also.

if the cruise light comes on then goes off when u press set i belive its because theres no vacuum to the actuator.

Thanks lost, that's just what I needed. I need to diagnose my cruise control.

Is this the book you pulled it from:

I need to order one, my current Accord book is pretty light on detail.

no, no light at all so i guess i'll rule out actuator first until i try everything else. the light on the dash comes on when i press the button by the fog button but the light in the cluster won't come on at all. also, i had vss replaced and it worked before that, could they be connected?

yep they might have cut the wire,it reads speed off of the speedometer head,it goes through a diode on the circuit board then into the plug on the cluster and out to the control unit.

here's a tech tip,i've heard of a number of people having problems after they swapped to manual transmissions. if you swap the pedals, you need to make sure you have the brake switch from a cruise control car,and the pigtail it attaches too. on the cruise control cars, there is an extra circuit in that switch. a wire loops out of the control box, goes through a normally closed circuit in that switch, then goes back to the box. If you step on the brake,it breaks that circuit, and disengages the cruise. If you converted from an automatic, there should be a pink wire that went to the shifter assembly. this wire grounds in nuetral or park, this wire needs to be connected to the pink wire at the clutch switch. also check to make sure the plastic button on the clutch arm, hasn't fallen out. this is what pushes on the switch. if it's missing the cruise thinks the clutch is pushed all the time. I replaced mine with round head stove bolts.
