The Bose amp is pretty much proprietary. You'll be doing a bit of rewiring.

When I got my SE-i, everything was already swapped out for (crappy) hardware. They ran new wiring for the speakers, which was decent... but I am going to say that the Bose setup is an all or nothing deal. The speakers have VERY odd numbers and the amp is something in itself. Really your best bet is to run new wires. Maybe you can salvage some of the door speaker wiring just to make life easier.

I'm of the humble opinion that anything with Bose on it should be smashed to tiny pieces.

you can get adapters that allow you to plug into the stock harness but your still going to need to change a lot of the wiring. like people said your going to have to run separate speaker wire to the speakers.

you mean the adapters like the scoche ones and splice some new speaker wires to it.i take it the speaker wires run through the factory amp.so the little blue plug behind the deck is for the steering wheel controls.

If i cut the wires going into the amp match them up to the speaker wires that will work with diff deck right.

If you bypass the amp completely, then I don't see why it wouldn't work.

My car already had new wiring ran for the speakers, so I didn't have to take that route which means I can't say 100% for sure... but logically it sounds like it should work.

well the volumn is very low in the back speakers, can't hear anything from front ones.So yeah i think the amp is fucked, just want to bypass amp and put in my other honda deck to try for now.got other stuff to do to her before i worry about the stereo.

do you check your fuses? If your running new wires, tape them to the old ones to fish them out

if you buy a new stereo doesn't it come with the wires that are typically marked for left speaker, right speaker, et cetera? my Sony came with little paper tabs telling me which where what...but then again i just remembered you mentioned something about the wire colors being totally off? in that case...pull the wires from your speakers out through the dash and through the door, blah blah, and just wire it up that way? makes sense to me considering in-dash stereos have a built in amplifier making the need for the one in the car obsolete

yeah but you have to run a new wires to each speaker
its really not that hard
just go to walmart pick up a roll of speaker wire and get to work!
