B20 what?

If you plan on a JDM B20A swap, from 85-89 European or Japanese Accords, you should look up "JDM B20A swaps" in the tech forum.

If you plan on swapping a USDM B20B or B20Z, you will need custom fabricated mounts, axles, and shift linkage. Look up "B18 swap".

If you plan on swapping in a B20A3,5,6,7,etc. from a 88-91 Prelude, don't. The engine blocks are cast to lean backwards, opposite from the 15 degree forward lean your engine was designed with, and your engine bay designed to accomodate.

Be more specific with your questions, you will need to be more specific when planning your swap, especially when it comes to buying your engine.

unless you already have the engine I would strongly recommend the B20B because it is a much better motor and parts are a lot easier to find.

yeah sweet be careful with that motor...dont even bother if your thinking turbo down the track..go for a b18 its stronger...but if your gona stay na grab it and the gsr head..itll equal the jdmb20a easy and youll never be caught searching for parts..not for 20 years or so anyway

Also the car is set up for a cable trans. would it not be easier to go with a
YS1 from a 90-93 integra to keep it cable?

.....he wants easy

easy would have been buying the powerplant intact with whatever tranny and ecu&harness that was with said engine. May as well grad the cabin harness and guage cluster and shiter and console.
You have a lot of things to consider and decide on the route to take with it.

If I were going to do a total frankenstien I would get a clip, a lot less chasing down parts and set backs. You just need some references and a Mig welder. Maybe some custom made axles.

yeah if you want easy, just find an integra doner of your choice...b18a will be a fairly cheap option.and theres always one at the jy.install the gsr head at a later date....i think the b20b would be worth the extra touble though...iv read the only diference between the b20b and the b20z is the intake mani assembly?? at least its out of a bigger car..people are slowly developing new ways to close the deck also....pull all the parts your self....save you $$$$$ (or get the clip)
