painted the bits on the popups black,
changed dissy o rings,
valve cover gasket etc,
shortram,
few braided vacuum lines and ziptied all the ends,
painted valve cover,
cleaned all earths,
clarion head unit and replaced all those paper coned speekers,
assorted engine harness maintainance,
remote central locking
genuine jdm visors (off jap import)

on order

upper ball joints for prelude 87 UCAs
lower ball joints
tie rod ends

yet to be installed

11 inch legend disks

next projects (next 6 months)

pirate as much jap spec exterior stuff as possible

thanks guys..its getting better slowly...yeah the b20a's were only in the
4walb SI's in aus...and i definately dont want the headache of 80's abs...so im slowly getting it ready for a motor swap down the road..h22/b20b/b18 dunno b20b sounds cheaper though..got a bit to do before then though..unless i come across a running b20A with a good 5speed somewhere.finding parts sounds like a pain though...how much faster do they feel accordb20a? u got the goldtop?

I cant say i have driven an A20A4 to compare it with the b20a, But they are pretty good.
My car has abs, its good until it stops working, luckily mine works. its just gay how u can on
only use axles with the abs ring on them.

yeah moving to brisbane in the next few weeks... yeah i found this one in the junkyard...dont think the motors good anyway..also had a auto mated to it..if i find a complete one illl buy the wreck and put it in..bseries is still a better option albeit more expensive..
its now minus the visors and soon to be minus the side moldings with the chrome bits...the chrome on the front bumper is missing the left hand end piece which u cant see...shame i wanted that

yeah ill have a look matey that one doesnt have one though, theres a couple of other jys around with some hondas that i still have to look at..i think accordb20a meant find a b20a in a 85-87 prelude...theres none at this one i dont think but i shall have another look since theres at least 10 of that model prelude there...unfortunately though it seems that alot of parts for pre 1990 accords are being discontinued now which is a pain...i just ordered the last pair of 85-87 upper ball joints in the country..can you still buy all the b20a parts from honda in the big NZ accordb20a? dont particularly want an engine i cant get parts for.....

Not that I know of.

That said, I've already looked into it, and we'd be better off just buying an entire roller (or better yet, a driver) and importing it, then going through the pains of reg here. To import a full front clip is not much less, and still requires the extreme pain in the ass of swapping everything over. The 3G's could be had for peanuts in AU, NZ or GB, and will run you somewhere around 1200-1500 regardless of which of the three places it comes from.

bodyarmour --> That's a sick little project car you got there, and I like the gold accents on the master, intake piping and vc. Any chance you and I can work together on sourcing some aussie 3G parts for me?

yeah possibly markmdz89hatch, dont know what you would be after...have my hands tied for time over the next few weeks but after that im going to scope some more junkyards for accords, just moving house at the moment...then ill be living closer to the jys so i should be able to dig something up of use.. havnt found a coupe here yet its possible they have all been crushed already.still looking though and ill scab the rear lights for you guys if i find one..early accords are on their way out of the junkyards over here by the looks, thats why im leaning toward retrofitting a newer motor and parts from integra, prelude or civic for the future as there is still fuckloads of demand for those parts and there fore shall be hanging around in the jys longer...

went to the scrap yard today to see what i could find....found this from a si exclusive...getting out the harness i found that it also connected to the visor on the passender side and scored a mirror with a light on it sweeeeet.grabbed them both...handy options

yeah i need to have another look for those...how do you tell the difference? iv never seen a pair on an accord...anyone got picks of them installed? is the mechanism built into the actual mirror or just the bit the mirror mounts on? i searched and couldnt find pics...what else should i be looking for? where is thebutton located for them too?

also i can grab those visors off the exclusive if someone wants them? twin piston calipers depending on how much they want for them as well over the next few months...think around 60 for the calis and 40 for the visors...thats oz so like 35 and 22 us then add shipping...also have a map light for the non sunroof sedan i can chuck on ebay or something if anyones interested?

Yeah had another look at it....think i might grab the motor from this in the future and use the complete harness from the whit vigor...just need to locate a 5speed that fits and there are no 2gen prelude b20as there....the auto must be similiar to the one in the lude which would be too much effort to wire in.lockup etc..if only i could find one lol, yeah 126000 kms on the blacktop, think the gold top may be a headgasket failure judging by the tow bar...

yeah it has folding mirrors but theres only one door,,fuckers took the whole passenger door sometime ago..anyway i have the switch which is cool, and i just took the drivers mirror off and hid it in the boot until i can locate another one...need to investigate the wiring harness as well but i suspect the control box may have been taken with the passenger door...

did any other cars come with folding mirrors like the legend or prelude?

any way i grabbed a full set of honda fitted mats from the vigor, got its sidemarkers cause one of mines smashed, grabbed the clear turnies from the exclusive which i discovered later dont even fit my bumper.lol..dirt cheap though..few other bits and pieces..that folding mirror switch i mentioned...few rubbers etc

anyways that grey car has got power folding mrirors, that button on the mirror switch next to the left and right switch makes them fold, the control box is in the passenger door with a blue plug going to it, No guarantees anyone here will buy them tho i have 23895489 sets that no one wants and so does my mate matt

the blacktop has done some low kms so it will be good as gold, Still only like 20 more HP than your a20a4 but hey. i prefer the gold top. 160PS as opposed to 145PS. But on a motor that old you cant even tell the difference lol so get either.

Grab the ECU from that gold top B20A for future thinking, The blacktop ones useless with EGR IACV and other un needed shit that the gold top one doesnt have, That means u can run a b16 intake on the b20 without an error codes!!!!

yeah as for the tow bar, it gets up to 40 degrees celcius here in the summer, combine that with towing a load and the ac and wala..over heat that bad boy....its possible theres nothing wrong with it and they just forgot to mark it too....

any way if i can find a box ill grab one of them...ill probably have a look at the goldie first, it has 189 on the clock, but i could get it and freshn up the bottom end i suppose, are the black and gold bottom ends the same? i would be running the vigor harness cause emissions stuff is shit....or maybe obd 1 which ever is less work lol.

as for the mirrors, im keen to put them on mine hey, ill keep looking around but how much would u want for a pair plus the box since i already have the switch? would you chuck them on trademe or ebay or through paypal or something?

suppose if i cant find a box ill just have to go to plan b series or h series depending on how im feeling when i get to that stage, or turbo the a series which would be the cheapest option but reliability could be an issue..i wonder if sr20 factory turbo pistons could be used in the block?

tint goes on next week, goto wire map light and put new power sun visor in, wire factory foglight switch in to the harness i made, vigor side moldings, another glove box latch, prelude ucas, etc then i get to the 5 speed swap which needs to happen very soon....

I went parts hunting in Australia once, that's where I got my Euro/Aus Taillights and Enkei Rims, which took up my entire suit case on my flight home to Hawaii. Or I might have shipped them in boxes, that was a while ago.
