I have an acord, 1988 carb motor, 5 speed with vacuum hose removal done. Everything was great, today I started it, it died, I started it again it blew the 70 amp battery (21) fusable link under the hood. I replaced it and it immediatly blew. I checked the wires to the starter and the battery, I could not find any thing.:banghead: Any help would be great I am completely lost, thanks

Check the wiring around the ignition. I blew a fuse on my friends car by accidentally shorting the constant 12 wire.

Sounds like a hot to ground short.

Why are you bumping a 5 year old thread? If you're having the same problem, then check your battery cables for a very big problem. You shouldn't have a lot of trouble finding it. It will be glaring.
