fist i mocked them up then drew a line

then just started cutting away lol was real easy with a pair of dikes

lil bit of jb weld and they were one lol

now i just have to figure out how to make thm look smoother
i dont care if i have to pant them
i was actually thinking
of using some waterproof putty and flatting them out
then just painting them my fave color satin black
or white lol

you could try to fill the seam with glazing & spot putty, then sand the whole thing smooth.

Looks good man! I'd probably try to shave that seam with a utility knife and then hit it with some sandpaper. Bondo might work well filling in depressions. You should be able to clean it up real nice.

Go to the autoparts store and find yourself an epoxy tube that says either plastic weld or only for plastics. It bonds plastics as if thery were one and you can use it to make mold parts. :D

I made a whole bunch of stuff that way.

i got a set for an 89 prelude and they fit perfect on my 87 hatchok does your 87 have the early doors without the seatbelts attached? the later doors are a litttle bit longer, but could be workable. the split was in mid 87,the doors changed. please post pictures of yours so we can see how close they are. you may have solved our vent visor problem for good. :D

not sure but the trims on the door edges are different, I think it might be a half inch or so, i have an 89 lxi door here somewhere but it's pretty bent from when i pushed it out of the loft.
