I replaced my lower mount yesterday(the old was was literally split in half) and now my pacesetter sits right against my front crossmember and is actually denting it. Why in the hell is it like that? It used to hit a tiny bit before but now whenever my RPMs drop between shifts and what not it makes a ton of noise and it really sucks.

What should I do? :chainsaw:

But hey on a better note I have no more engine movement! Its great!

Is the down pipe hitting it? Are you using the ball type connection or do you have a flex pipe?

I have a flex pipe. I guess Ill just have to hang in my crossmember. But jeez that header is such a pain in the ass to take out :(

Try a prybar. Or just shoot the pacesetter to bits.

I wonder why some of the ones with pacesetters have a problem with it hitting the crossmember.
I have the flex pipe on the one I bought from bitesize and it has plenty of clearance

idk either, I think Im gonna to use some washers on the bracket the downpipe has to push it back a few mm's. I'll take any clearance I can get.

I had to notch the front crossmember and bend the rear hanger just to bolt it in. 1/4" die grinder and some carbide tips will make easy work of the notching.

are the headers 4-1 or 4-2-1? if they make both, that could be why some rub and some dont.

im pretty sure they only make 4-2-1 headers....these headers were designed for accord and preludes...they didnt put that much R&D into them...they do an alright job
