Just wanted to say hello, and I will try my best to utilize the search function for all thoughts and or questions.

I have an 86 LX-i Hatchback, im not all that orignal hence my handle name, however I am hoping with the many minds contributing on this forum my ride will be more than original.

Details about my ride, two owner car. Orignal owner, then myself. All stock, except for new 6 1/2 speakers all the way around and New Headunit, 228K miles, doesnt burn oil, no major rust a few small dots of rust near rear tirewell, but its time to make her a bit more modern and hip.

I have a few cosmetic goals in mind. I may want to redo the paint, go totally white on it including the sidemolding and bumpers. I want to add Tint to it, and get some newer wheels, either Honda Fit Wheels or Civic Si Wheels.

Interior goals, its a blue interior. I would like to fix my A/C Heat controls. It seems to be stuck on only the DEFROSTER mode, the VENT and HIGH/LOW functions do not work. In addition I would like to play with the interior lights, perhaps LED conversion for switches and gauges.

Motor Mods....its a stock engine, clean too. Do not know what I can really do to pep it up. Suspension, I would like to maintain Stock settings. I'd like to get simple suspension set up, something that is better than stock, and doesn't take away from the easy drive. I also dont want to be "dropped" to ground.

Again Thank you for hearing me out and Hope to hear and read from many of you.

-Alex

Blue was the Interior color on all White 86/87 LXi's, then in 88-89 Honda offered the Marron on the white hatches

not an afermarket moonroof. Its a sunroof, but doesnt retract fully open, just vents open....like todays cars and their sunroofs tilt option. Dont know if its common for the car.

Today I had discovered that I will need a new water pump. No worries, will be done by next saturday.

After that my goal is to target the suspension. Tentative plans as of now are to go with Tokico blues with Nuespeeds for 1.5" drop. I would also like to change out all bushing and find decent sway/strut bars.

not at all common lol only 3g that had a sunroof is the 4dr lxi and sei lol anything else was aftermarket so you have a flip up sunroof

and defined on wikipedia

An automotive sunroof is a fixed, hinged or sliding opening in an automobile roof which allows light and/or fresh air to enter the passenger compartment. Sunroofs may be manually operated or motor driven, and are available in many shapes, sizes and styles. (see sunroof definitions below)

Sunroofs, by historical definition are opaque and slide open to allow sunshine and fresh air into the passenger compartment. However, most factory roof options offered today feature a glass panel and are correctly referred to as moonroofs, a term introduced in 1973 by John Atkinson, a Marketing Manager at Ford for the Lincoln Continental Mark IV. For the first year, Ford had to send out its Mark IVs to the American Sunroof Company to be installed as an aftermarket item, even though it was being sold as "factory installed".

so any glass panel roof is a moonroof
