Ok I just got back from my much anticipated inaugural drive which was a blast bone stock can't wait for the upgrades but i have. No heat but also no leaks or pressure leaks and the coolant is fine thanx in advance

Check to make sure that the valve is opening by the firewall. If it is, make sure you don't have air in the system.

Like the heat valves in old cars and big rigs ? Just turn the knob kinda and walah I have heat

Yeah there is an on/off valve that turns on the coolant with a cable attached. It might be froze up or the cable end is bad.

follow the coolant lines that go into the firewall it will be on one of the two lines.

i know its a bad picture but hope you get the idea

i found it it seems that the cable is working so maybe the valve inside is stuck i am soaking it in penatraiting oil over night so i guess we'll see in the morning does any 1 have experience changing 1 cause it looks wicked fun

Its just two hose clamps and a cable. Shouldn't be hard.

thanx the only other thing im thinking is heater core if i leave the fan off for a few minutes then turn it on it blows red hot for like 2 mins then luke warm at best unless i shut the fan off again and when im sliding the heat switch back and forth from cold to hot the temp changes so im really thinking heater core

alright so we narrowed it down to a plugged heater control valve or a plugged heater core.

i would try flushing out the heater core by taking both the hoses off from the firewall and get a garden hose and run water through one of the openings that go into the firewall. and let the water come out till its clean. there shouldnt be and pressure when you are trying to flush it out.

secondly if you haven't taken the heater control valve off i would take it off and inspect it to see if there isn't anything plugged up in there.

be prepared for a big sticky mess just make sure when your done to top your coolant off.
