thhe headlights came off of a 95 eclipse and are real bright. i like them alot better. i am still working on making them look cleaner. and im workin on modifying the hood to go with them.
http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1025081306a.jpg

and thhe hatch i made after my window got broken. i wanted to see how it would look with thatshape so i made it and its way way lighter thhan stock like half as heavy or less . 1 good hhatch prop will support it. im still workin on it too . i need to fill in low spots and i need a lil more fiberglass in a couple of spots. but it works for now . i have a lexan window in it now. still real lighht

http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/0921081727a.jpg

also im workin on the under hood appearance as well. romoving unused stuff or broken accessories. and removing vacum lines and black box . im also tryin to tuck wires but hhave not done much of thhat yet.http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1110081451a.jpg

http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1110081450.jpg sorry thhe pic was blurry. i just cleaned the drivers side today was really dirty from the last owner i hadnt ever cleaned underthere before and im suprised how it looked under there. it noticably faster from 4000 up after modding thhe vac lines. and a lil better acceleration too. but i did notic a drop in gas mileage from like30 mpg to like 24 to 26. if im still tryin to figure out what in thhe vac lines did thhat. i will up date

i dont think the rear disks will fit but i say if you got the parts give it a try and if they do then you just helped alot of us out :D

im digging the lights. they make the front end look mean as hell. what are you gonna do for the insert between them? the hatch im still out to lunch on. i like the idea, but want to see it finished, and a pic of it closed. did you angle the window for back seat clearance?

They won't, it's a complete different setup.
Lights are starting to look neat, although I don't know why anyone would do away with the flipups, they're the best part.

I think the hatch is sick! It's totally Buck Rogers. I love it!

there was a guy who did a hatch back window like that about 10 (or more) years ago. ..or at least he started it. I'm a fan. It's got to be done right to look good, and it looks like you're on the right path to that. Looks great so far, and I give you credit for the work that you're doing. Not a big fan of doing away with the flips, but that's personal preference.

Keep it up.

http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1112081529.jpg just finished primin it and a lil body work . still needs more work
http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1111081520b.jpg still cleanin and re routing stuff in here . needs more work but im hella happy with the 2.5 hours i put into cleanin it
http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1112081431.jpg the hatch is not done yet but i kinda like the design. my friends still has the back windo and i miss it but it weighhs like 50 or more pounds more than mine. but i think when i figure out somthing for the top of the hatch to kinda cover the space around the top of thw window and finish it it will look awesome. im thinkin a lil spoiler like the late 80s supras had at the top of thheir hatch. iv always liked thhat lil wing on top.
http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1112081254b.jpg i put a laZEer spoiler from like a 93 on here . i dont know how much i like it tho. its ok what do u think
http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1111081520.jpg vac lines and black box gone still seems to be about the same gas mileage like 27 city accept the other day i got like 23 . but i think i may have been wrong. its good still. and its way noticable improvment in acceleration and top end 4000 up. after removal of vacs and sensors. i still have map ignition controll module and cvc.

it wasnt hard to mount the lights. pretty easy. i had them on another accord coupe a while back and when i first made them i only used one light on each side and it looked weak. then i figurred out i could put both lights on therw and fixed them . and thhen recently re mounted them on this car . thhe light is way better than stock. my friend gave me some 97 or 8 integra hid headlighhts last night . but i dont thinkk i could mount them without a bunch more work and modification, they have the halos too like bmw s got

i lowered the car about 4 inches and i also have adjustable upper controll arms and when i would hhit bumps before it would hit the body right there and SMAK now that i cut thhat it doesnt hit any more and i did the same in the back. i also hhave top hat mods front and rear so thhe shock doesnt bottom out. it worked good and the shocks are almost stock height whhere they mount on top. i rides way way better than when i first lowered it. corners like awesomw . right now the tires are 13 stock rims with 175s and it feels like 175s ifi go around a corner too fast very little body roll and not bouncy.when i have my rims on . they are 16 with 205 40 16 z rated and it corners smoothh with those . when i got the car alignment was ay off andit tore upthe front two down to treads . so i need 2 205 40s. but i dont have money for them andnowits winter pretty muchh so .

okay so im sold on the hatch. it looks pretty bad ass. i like the laser wing too. i am curious as to whether or not water pools at the base of the rear window when it rains.

im havin problems with the hatch leakin right now cause its not finished and it is kinda uneven . i have a brace under the middle goin from front to back so its flat but to either side it kinda dips a little .so water sits right there when it rains and there is a spot or two where it leaks at the back. i wanted to fill itin with a lil more fiberglass then a very thin layer of bondo to smooth it but i ran out and didnt want to just fill it with a bunch of bondo cause im tryin to make it lighht.so its been like that for a minute. now im planin to cut the botom out and mold it a lil better. but when i get done it will not leak . i may angle thewindow a lil more towards the back also. my friend has a hhatch and we were hhangin out talkin about somthin and his friend had thhe hhatch open so im like let mesee thhat. and it was so so so much heavier than mine . at least double the weifgt . i had not lifted a stock hatch for a while and i had begun to think my hatchh was still a bit heavy but when i lifted his i realized mine is liight. i tinnk its still hella rough compared to what its gonna be.

front top hat mod inside engine bay upside down with 1.25 inch spacers http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1115081152.jpg
back top hat cut then welded back together with 2.5 to 3 inch spacerhttp://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1115081153a.jpg

my car does have alot of rust. i thought id say that before someonne else does. i did thes mods cause i always wanted a low car. ive had 4 of these.still have 3 . have parts if anyone needs anything. i lowered my hatch and blew the shocks almost immediatly. so thh car hit bumps real hard and felt like i was rollin around on a tram po lene ?spelling? . now it rides great and im still ridin stock replacment shocks. real good ride tho now no smashing and or bouncy ride corners great accept for the tires are 185 70 13. i had nice 16 innch rims with 40 series tires. but when i got the car i threw those on it and then they got tore up becouse i had bad alignment probs. thhats fixed now but my wallet isnt so im stuck withh the stockrs right now. they are light tho and thats nicehttp://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/1115081157a.jpgnowhttp://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp186/gettinthechewin/2054016.jpgright after i got it and cleaned it changed bumpers and rims. and lowered it

damn that looks like a lot of work. I like the headlights... very euro looking. i also really like the rear top hats. Why didn't you do the same in the front instead of the spacers? Not sure if i like the rear hatch or not but its definitely decent looking. keep up the good work can't wait to see when its done.

Also what did you use as a front lip?

yeah hatch isnt as smooth as id like it to look yet. i dont think it looks all that great yet myself but its still young. it will look real good i think compared to now when its done. its got a long ways to go. it is way WAY light tho

looks like you have the back panel upside down above the rear bumper, i think this looks ok as far as the hatch mod goes, this would be a great idea (mr2 style) for the RWD accord project

I wonder what that hatch is doing to your aerodynamics. Any idea?

89sei89dx

it didnt really feel much different driving it with this hatch on. accept it is lighter alil quicker cause of less weight. i noticed

the piece below thhe lights is upside down. i did it one day thinkin i wonder how that would look . and i liked it so i left it thhat way and im gonna make a new plastic molding to go inside by the lisence plate

he did not cut the tower he cut the top hat

It still messes with the integrity of the rigidness.

I wonder what that hatch is doing to your aerodynamics. Any idea?

probably creates a bit more drag since there will be a small pocket of dead air that will inevitably create a disturbance in flow. but he said it is way lighter so i doubt it will really even matter. im really liking this car and cant wait to see how it turns out.

where i cut thhe body is two or three layers of metal. and my custom strut baars are gonnna fix all that cause thhey are gonnaa mount righht thhere and im also gonna fill in thhe holes i cut out but raised so i still have the up n down movment of the suspension without hitting the body. but the car desnt feel any worse goin around corners at high speed. my custom stut type bars, im waiting for a welder so i can make, are gonna mount to the body right there and also have another piece welded to that, that connect to top of strut also.to stiffin it aall up just an idea. its all still being built. also im gonna design a lil spoiler for the top of the hatch like some of the supras in the late 80s have i dont know if it will help air flow. im doin it becouse i still aint satisfied with thelook of the top of my new hatch
