did you check the brake fluid level in you master?

If the harness was swapped and now it's all back to stock without a short, then I'm guessing your brake fluid is low. I fought with that damn light for a while before I discovered I was a dumbass.

There is also a sensor on the taillights themselves. They trigger the light on the dash when the bulbs are burned out. With age they malfunction.

Tim, I'm pretty sure (based off of old memory seeing I haven't even started my car in 4+ years) that there's only one brake warning light on the gauge cluster which illuminates for anything from burnt bulb (or bad sensor for burn bulbs), to e-brake being left on, to low fluid.

Rendon's response leads me to think that this was his problem after all.

the one for the hand brake is also the one for the brake-fluid, the other one, which is under the "your trunk is open!!1!!1!" light that says "brake lamp" is the one that alerts you of your fail brake lights

I stand corrected then. Can someone confirm that this is the same for all models too? I just don't ever remember seeing a 'brake light' indicator light. hmm... might be time to test out all the lights on the cluster.

Old thread. Youngster days. Never got around to replacing the sensor yet I said I did. Fail. Maybe I did but the wrong one.

It probably destroyed the part of the cluster that has that warning light in it. The 1g Accords, well they pretty much all do that. And the only fix, after cleaning your taillight grounds is to replace the circuit board. Noob!

Checked sourced voltage an was in spec . Replaced all lights to LL. an cleaned sockets. 3rd brake light is good. Didn't check voltage on that socket. So going to replace sensors an go from there
