Just got my new clutch put in after about a year of babying the hell out of the original 22 y/o which started to go a while ago. the old one was bad enough that if you tried to take off too fast or give too much gas with normal load the thing would slip. When i got it out it was just starting in on a few of the brass rivets.

here's the old and new:

and the new kit:http://mihl0g.bay.livefilestore.com/y1p7FB8Ie5x2fSPNr_CmAI9MdsHD8NBuLk6r-NM15G5T2kwXwcOcssWU90tGhDSurKdDDfinuB-EVE/DSCF0028.JPG

the torsion dampers where somewhere between shot and non existent as you can hold the the thing still at the hole for the spline and get the disk to turn a bit while making a very loose metallic clink. :beat: so ya. needless to say its like the difference between night and day. the kit ended up running me 110 and the labor 200, i made it 220 cuz i felt it was worth it and the guy that did it was cool shit. and he installed my cv shaft at the same time for free even though it has to be disassembled and put though that damn fork. so all in all, very good weekend. [note: i was originally quoted $750 by another place for 5xx for labor and 2xx for parts. so i think i made out quite well.]

Maine=snow=salt=rust

Cali=sun shine=no rust.

I'd venture a guess the bolt was stuck.

damn i wonder what my old clutch looked like it completely went out going up a step hill on the highway with no were to pull over so we were revving at redline and moving just under 5mph with a whole lot of pissed off folks behind us when we finely found a drive way off the side of the road to pull in to the trans was smoking and then it would not go again :lol: i think that might of been what caused my head gasket to go out lol

Haha, mine was $100, which is Exedy. Even though I don't make a lot of power, well no power to be proper, it grabs really well.

i was thinking of rebuilding the motor anyways...didnt want to buy 2 clutches. plus its cool to say i have a stage 3 clutch and integra gears...not lot of people can say that

right now my car is making like 120-125whp because i got the 112whp with a slipping clutch, no tune and no stage 2 cam or 9 pound flywheel
