I know you can get Cold air intakes for Fuel injected cars but I was wondering what exactly the alternative was for my a20 with a carb. and where I might purchase this.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I was just going threw the list of performance things to do to my car and I didn't know what to do when it came to that.

I think you can use the airbox off one of the older civics, and attach a cold air intake to that. If you want real performance though I'd save up and buy a weber carb. I've got a 38, and it feels like a completely different car now.

Was the weber hard to tune in? what type of Horsepower gain did you see? Large decrease in MPG or not so bad?

Does the filter get dirty though using that?

people allways say you get a dirtyer filter when you flip/cut the box.. i didnt notice any more dirt then what it got useing the stock setup. plus if you go with a K&N filter you can just wash it and oil it back up

also i feel that this setup is much better... for a carb you really DONT want cold air.. makes the carb more touchy... haveing the opened up filter caseing just allows max airflow faster.. thus why webber setups use small top-side filters not relocate pipeing filters... also note your not gonna see a HP increase on any intake setup for a carb.. you might get faster throtle responce, smoother idle, and a deeper sound.. but there all good upgrades for the price (cheep)

About the same mpg. Worse than stock if I really romp on it, but about the same for normal driving. As far as horsepower gains go I have no idea since I've never put my car on a dyno. It's enough to have a noticeable difference is acceleration though.
