This is from the Feb. 1978 Car and Driver I snagged off eBay. Hope you guys enjoy this... Note to self: 14psi might be a bit much for a stock motor.

These are the cardinal rules from page 36 as noted in the magazine:

1) Intake passages must be as short as possible.
2) Fuel-air mixture should travel ever downward.
3) There must be a limit to maximum boost (other than the driver).
4) There must be protection against detonation thought the load and RPM range.

Four seconds off stock 0-60 times, so that makes it like 8 secs with 14psi of boost? lol

I like the seats though.

Yay! I've been wondering about that article for ages but never seen more than references to it before.
Is there more of it?
Agree the wheel-arch flares are akward but the stripes are fun & the wheels look so right -the early steel wheels even having slightly Minilite/Panasport styling (I'll paint some up to exaggerate that one day!)

"while it was still running.."

I guess if you don't read "the fucking article", you are apt to violate a piston or two.

Hey, is that an 82-83 dash in that car? I always wondered how hard it would be to squeeze one into a 1st gen...
