so my car is dirty, i need to wash it i know. but my paint has also been raped by the sun and sprinklers. water spots are easier to get out, but what's the best way to remedy the sun damage? i'd rather the end result be my car looking better, not worse lol. but i definitely don't have plans or money to repaint it right now. (nh-503p with flake when i do though ftw.) anyway, thanks a mucho fellas.

wet sound with 2500-4000grit sand paper and then wax it (if you dont wax it will look worse then it did)

Lucas detail spray, that stuff is from otter space, no BS it will shine a dusty coyote turd like a fresh payday bar.

ok, looked a little closer, roof seems to have completely killed the clearcoat and is flaking the paint itself. sides still clearcoated, but they're dull. same for trunk. hood has basically killed clearcoat, but the paint hasn't started flaking yet.

I've never had to shine my dusty coyote turds, but when I do...

Oh yeah, and you're basically screwed on the paint. :( It's helps to keep it scrupulously clean. You may try to wax it once like I did mine and then you won't ever try again. The wax dries to a nice bright streaky white that will only come off with a cold-chisel, sledgehammer and an atomic sand blaster. It's Maaco time. Some of them are better than others, so shop carefully. When I finally get my hubcaps finished, I'll be posting pics of mine.

yeah i've decided no wax unless i remedy paint situation first. and no, i don't see my 3g anywhere near a paint shop for quite awhile. don't see myself w/ paint in hand either for equally as long. so i guess time to find a specimen w/ better paint.

if color coat is not damaged put a fresh clear coat on yourself. spray cans work just as good as a paint gun if you know how to use them.
