Hi, I'm new.
Alright, I just ordered a 92 civic intake and it should be here sometime this week.
So now I just have a few questions about what to take off as to when I put it on. Here's a couple pics, any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

ewww, dirt.

you gotta take the whole intake tubing things off up to the throttle body, which is where you hook on the new intake

..and you gotta remove that hose that goes into the tubing right next to the throttle body (the other end goes to the camshift cover dealy) and hook that into the new intake or remove it completely and get one of those small filter (crankcase breather filters or sumthin)

hey, i have an 86 accord lxi, what exatcly do i do with that "extra long piece of vacum tube"? i know one end hooks up to the valve cover, where does the other end go? also, would the oil breether filter work on that, instead of the vacum tube??? thanx alot

Yea a breather filter wold vork but it is good to keep the PCV system intact and the big tube goes grom the valve cover to inside the intake piping alone with 2 other little ones.

:wtf: what about all the lil grey lines coming from the black box in the top left hand corner of the engine bay??? why would it be better to keep the vacum tube and hook it to the new intake instead of adding a breather filter. i'm only 17, i'm learning. i just want to make the best out of what i've got. any and all help would be greatly appreciated. my car is stock except for the flomaster exaust and 2.5" piping from the cat converter back. what other mods could i do that arent hard on the wallet but nice on the strip. my friend has a mustang with a pussy ass engine, the 2.0L from the 80's i've beeten him once, now i want to make him cry...

Pacesetter heders are good just no flex pi[pe and the lack one rusts. They have a ball joint not a flex pipe. But you can have one welded on for about 30 bucks if you really want one. the highflow cat is good but their exhaust system sucks ass.

1988starter: why does the pacesetter exhaust suck? I don't have it, but it's like the only one you can get that is 2.25".

I started to cut the pipe, I'm taking off 2.25", and now I'm waiting for my dremel battery to charge so I can finish cutting it, lol. :)

what did that lower blue (highlighted) piece go to. Mine is just hanging there with no opening on the end and it doesn't lead to anything but i see that yours was connected to something at the front?

Because the muffler is of poor quality rattles and does not produce much power compaired to any other muffler.

ok, but what if you were to get a different muffler? The reason i ask is because i don't know of any muffler shops around where i live that would make me a custom 2.25" exhaust pipe that i could just add a muffler to myself anyway. I would buy the pacesetter exhaust and get a dynomax muffler that i hear everyone talk about and weld it on to the pacesetter exhaust. Is this possible?

oh yeah, and the 2.25" that I took off wasn't enough. I took another 3/4" off and that still isn't enough. So now I'm taking an inch off and that will be enough. Blah :D

oldriceracer: if you're talking about a cai from a civic, probably won't work. If it's just a short ram, then you can cut it shorter to fit.

The blue colored pieces at the front does not do anything afaik and the one to the fender connects to the resonator. If you have a short ram and wanna blow some cooler air into it (might help!! but don't count on it) take off the resonator and make a pipe directed from the fog light opening to the stock piping.
have fun

That would work it is the set up I hve and it worked much better than the pacesetter muffler.
