DC header ?

Did the dc header come with some sort of coating . I just got one and I want to clean it up and I was thinking of dipping it some sort of acid or stripper but dont want to harm the finish or coating ( if it has one) Thanks.

any acid or stripper will peel it off. If I'm not mistaken, they all had either a silver ceramic paint coating, or you could get them in chrome, but good luck finding that one.

Just some PurplePower and/or your good 'ol soap and water should clean it up pretty nice.

Edit: btw, how the hell did you get one, and where/how much?

I wouldn't do anything to that one you have personally, it doesn't look like it needs it at all.

But if you are determined. Just wire brush, degrease and recoat with high temp ceramic base paint. You ca pick it up at any auto parts store.

I cant decide on what muffler to put on and Im waiting on my cat . But I am STOKED:D .I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the header listed I gasped!

The dude had them on a prelude in the 90's so there was no interest on his part ...If he only knew what they mean to us.

any suggestion on exhaust would be appreciated.

go with a raptor muffler or a nice magnaflow oval muffler with matched inlets and outlets for your setup you will like either of them they have a nice deep tone when you're in the throttle and are pretty quiet when you are off of it.
