Ok guy so i have a curious question, I have an 86 Accord LXI and i'm pretty sure my alternator is dying but i don't want to buy a brand new due to lack of funds. So i was planning on getting one out of the junk instead. i know thats not the best way to go but i don't have much of a choice. So my question is, is there a difference between the alternatoers for carbed to efi? since my junk yard has mainly carbed accords. Thanks

Yes there is. The EFI's have a 4-pin connector where as the carb'd have a 3-pin. The extra pin is for the ECU. It tells the ECU when there a lot of load so it will increase the idle.

Dang ok thanks. Hopefully the only efi out there still has the alternator.
