SILENT
01-11-2009, 08:16 PM
Hi Every1... My name is Walter my 3geez sn is SILENT... Im a apprentice mechanic @ firestone and a huge 3geez enthusiast. My very first car my dad gave to me was a 1989 Accord LX sedan... boy when i first got i was like shit I dont want that car... but that was when i wanted a huge truck with dubs... but I grown to love this car... the car was orginally $500 dollars, but I've invested almost 4k in engine and suspension work... it has a weber 32/36 with pacesetter exhaust and test pipe!!! it basically had brand new suspension in the front except for springs and struts!!! My second 3gee is a 89 SEI... i purchase from a member on 3geez!!! When i saw the car i liked it except for the 2 doors thing but I couldn't get over the fact that it was an SEI. Basically when i bought the car It was litterly beat 2 shit on maintance!!! The coolant in this car was the worst I have ever seen, it was running on chunks of rust with water... I honestly don't know how this car survived, but im glad it did!!! Oh and when i first did my oil change the drain plugs was attached with black rtv!!! I purchased the car for $600... but has over $800 in parts. For example... Radiator...Alternator...Oil Pan... all 4 rotors and pads... new cat and full 2 1/4 pipe on cherry bomb turbo muffler... injectors!!!
My future plans on my 3geez are... Slamming them just like codyjdm... and rotas wheels for both!!! and a ls/vtec on my SEI... (im first the group buy for replica placeracing mounts)!!! paint is a must on my LX but my SEI is mint!!! will post pics when i shoot some!!! Love the site... every1 on here is f**kin awesome!!! thanks for listening to my lifestory (every1 things im crazy for investing so much on these cars)

I posted the other day with pics of my car and shit.

but anyway...

My name is Taylor, i bought an 86 Lx-I two days ago for $500. it needs work and it pretty rough shape but it had super low miles and was hatch and 5spd. i drive a 94 BMW 325i in the summer, i bought this accord especially for the winter so i wont drive my BMW. I love my BMW and it was my first car i bought with all i had. i owned a 93 integra 4dour a year ago and beat the balls outta it then sold it. hah i bought it the same reason i bought this 3g. the winter..

my plans are to get the car running great. needs battery, clutch, tune up. i plan to get rid of the rust paint it black and smoke out the clear corners. i also want to make a custon intake and exhaust and make it decently fast. i want to do so much to it, i already have a hue list for the spring! haha. if there is anyway in the New England area with a 3g or anything, pm me or something. i am always down to meet new people with the same car interests.

i love it already and i havent even driven it for more than a day!

I'm kinda new haha. I'll keep this short. My name's Carlos--19. SF Bay Area native. Community College student...plans to transfer to Sacramento State. Somewhat of a gamer...all i play nowadays is Metal Gear 4 Online for the PS3. My 3gee's my first car. My father bought it for me ($600 from his friend) when i was 16 since i wasn't working til i was 17. I stumbled across 3geez.com when i was trying to research something for the car. I love this site, for the most part everyone's pretty friendly. I'm glad we've got a lot of 3geez members in my area. What else...oh my car's a 1989 Lx--carb'd. I've lowered it on some h&r's thanks to Picopop, and just recently got some toki'z. I love the 3g for its reliability. Hopefully with some preventative maintenance i'll be able to keep her until i buy my second car which i plan to be a 96-98 M3 =P. Oh shit i said i'd keep this short. Oh well.

Hey Guys....
My name is Kevin, and i'm kinda a noob here.... I got my '86 Hatch for $700 and it's been a pretty good car for that. I have also decided to name the car "Phat Albert", Or "Phatass"... depending on how i feel... I am only 18, and have no mechanical experience, however I have been able to keep the 'Old Girl' Alive.... if anyone is up around the Portland, Oregon area.... and wouldn't mind giving me some advice with some mechanical things that would be AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I don't have many plans for her but I plan on getting a 4-door and doing a mild custom resto to her.... But for now i just have a car to get from point a to point b, and in some style....
And Everyone on here is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I posted q's about everything, and someone responded within minimally a day..... now that's what i call cool....

hi i am Daniel. my 88 accord has been in my family since 96(older brothers first car) he drove the car for about 2 years and then got a civic si. so the 88 was just chillin in our driveway for the past 10 years because i drove my other car(01 ITR) most of the time. i took a look at this awesome car just chillin, bone stock with only 105k miles on it. so i put my ITR in the garage and now have been driving the 88 =) i recently lowered it and am trying to find some nice wheels for it too. thats about the only plans for now.

I'm Dan, 28, i posted in the newbie part a couple weeks ago with pic's and a video of my car too, im from gold coast australia and don't know much about cars so i'll just be lurking about reading guides and getting a better idea of the car i love, i work on a furniture production line on minimum wage so money is problem too, but i'll do what i can. i'm not going too sell it (besides i don't think i'll get much being over 20 years old) or "do it up" and put it and a shelf, but i'd like to make some minor improvements like straighten body work, re-paint, suspension and brakes just to make it a little sportier and tighter, and i wanna try that front integra lip.

i'm putting a 1986 honda accord down at the end of march when it's rego is up, i took it too hondarec here on the gold coast they didn't want it, they said take it to a metal recycle place, so it looks like its fate is too be melted down:crying:, its a lead fuel engine 1.8 i think, though the car has 2.2 on the back, it was my grandfathers made in germany im told. So i'm taking lots of pic's inside and out, stickers and numbers, maybe a video, and i'll start a thread posting them up for you all too have look and morn its passing.

p.s plus i'll go give her a good thrash on a friends property, as she works pretty good still but roadworthy .. no.

... way to make me feel bad, lol

im not good enough to fix things myself, nether do i have the tools, maybe i feel bad and don't want that to happen to my 88 so in a effort to learn more i found this site.

money is tight, we have 5 cars altogether, no room, it's pretty trashed... im thinking of using it over the next month to try out things like removing rust (cause i chicken'd out doing it on my 88) so i'll end up wrecking it more, i have the tools for that, but not for the mechanical side of the car, i do have a better understanding of the engines as the 88 is Fi and the 86 is carbed by looking at them both, and reading sites like this one, so the 86 is getting some use that's for sure. i've put a ad in the local paper, basically said "for wreck, drivable, make a offer", plus my mother got a new back up for free, a manual late 80's ford fiesta, last i drove a manual was nearly 10 years ago so i need practice...

believe me i tried to save it... so i'll take some pic's, and if someone can tell what type engine it has, they'll get a imaginary skippy badge.

I'm also Dan. I'm 28. I just got my '89 LX-i for .85 stacks. :)

I'm field service technician for a big forklift company. I attended the Auto, Diesel, and Industrial programs at UTI in Glendale Heights, IL. Before that I was in the US Army for 7 years as an electronic technician.

As far as car enthusiasm history, I started out with J-bodies (dark days lol), then moved to Neons, Watercooled VW's, and now I have a Honda :)

Plans for my Accord include fresh bodywork, suspension, and a tire/wheel fitment that most of you won't like. :)

A wheel wider than 7" with an offset of less than 40mm and a tire that may be streched a little bit. I gotta measure and see what will fit when the time comes, but I know what stance I want. It's not a daily driver.

Hey guys I've been on here for a few months now just gathering knowledge.

I dont really post much cuz I spend most of my time reading . I live in los angeles I work in construction all over the southern california area and have been a 3g owner since I was 19 and I just turned 25 like a week ago . And I am pretty sure I will always be a 3g owner.

HONESTLY THE BEST CAR EVER ENGINEERED AND MANUFACTURED.

I have treated my baby with much love and respect and I try to give her upgrades here and there when I can.

I am always on the look out for jdm parts if any of you guys have some for sale...let me know.

Here are a few pics of her

yeah. name's nick. from indiana.

got an 86' lxi. 5 speed. didn't pay for the car per say,but worked it off...
trying right at this moment to figure out if my motor is a bs or a bt... yeah. might make a post because no offense to anyone here, but i prefer the setup at feoa.net over this forum's setup. like i said no offense.
at the moment no mods planned because my moolah is being funneled to my turboscort project. but i know there is potential in our little single cam motors if done correctly. ATM i'm thinking of keeping the accord my DD and grocery getter... and the power sunroof is nice too. :D not really a fan of honda's too much because of the X amount of vacuum line that is always found under the hood, but i have a friend who is helping me through it.i try to stay away from the noob flame as much as possible but i am new to the honda scene and anything i don't find through 3 or 4 searches and reading then i'll more than likely make a post.
