gauge needle opinions

someone else was havin trouble wih the temp needle... same thing happened o me and still havent fixed it.. this is what i posted "OOOHH OOOHH OOOHH MISTA KOTTEAR MISTA KOTTEAR... lol i got an idea... take the needle off, start your car, then stick it back on in the cold position.... sounds like that should work... maybe il go do that now to fix it" doesnt anyone know if this will work or will it make it worse?
