New here :)
I just picked up a solid '89 Accord LXi for $850 :) I hope I got a good deal.

My name is Dan, I live in Illinois, I work as a field technician for a huge forklift company, and I went to school at UTI, so I may have some useful knowledge. Before all that, I was in the Army for 7 years :)

Good to see a site for what so far seems like a fairly unpopular car around these parts. I'm new to Hondas, I previously owned 2 Neons and a GTI. This Accord is also the oldest car I've ever had but I like it a lot :) I plan on fixing her up nicely.

Thank you so far :) I'll get pictures up when I get a chance. I do have some plans for it. Maybe too big... Suspension, wheels, interior, engine swap...

Just so you can visualise, its metallic red with faded paint on the hood and roof, a little typical Hondarust on the rear wheel arches, and nasty Wal-Mart wheel covers.

UTI was OK. I'd recommend it to anyone willing to pay that much for school. I considered WyoTech briefly but wanted to be close to home.
