i like it a lot. ...but I really like the DX rear pods as they don't have those raised grills, they're just flush. I think it would really look sick to make a DX style one (flush) and just perforate the c/f with a patterned bunch of drilled holes so you get good sound travel, and get the super clean look of a c/f flat.

Edit: why not just use plastic filler to get the C, B and A-pillar panels smooth (ie. cover over the texture) then just blanket everything in c/f. ...I do believe that would look ridic!

what about making a custom set out of fiberglass? They don't need to be super complex or anything. Just a handle and hole for the window crank is all I really care about. In fact that's the way I'd prefer it.

Damn that's nice, tho imo it would need the lower part to be CF too to look complete. The purple-ish fabric part.

Nice man, that's bad ass.

Did you just glue it on the board? Use any resin? What did you use for clear coat? How many coats? Do anything in between the coats?

You must have a big roll of this stuff..

well since i can't spend any more money i used whatever i had in the garage:)..all i used was laminating resin..and yes i know i shouldve used epoxy but im on a budget..lol. i just brushed about 3 coats waited for it to get tacky between coats..let it cure over night..sand the crap out of it untill smooth..then sprayed on a few coats of clear to protect from yellowing i hope:)

ok so you just layed out the cf then put the resin right over it?
you know the dash pad comes off with screws, the entire thing, could copy it in fiberglass easy and lay carbon fiber over it, then have a carbon fiber dash pad.

Hmm, maybe I'll play around with some this year..

Lost, as tempting as that is IMO I think carbon fiber is a nice accent as oppose to full out CF parts. Although some cars can pull it off really nice. Can't say anything about the 3g since no one has done anything like that.

ok man thats it. from this post on make 2 of everything as your doing it. I want everything. You know have to make a few chioces, how much, how fast, what other parts can you do. Pm me if you decide to start selling this stuff. if you can get the pillars to all lay the proper angle so they match Ill take as set and all the little things that pop out your doing know.

can you do a tech on how you do the overlays? i really would like to do one of these dash pads. i think I would have to glass it and smooth it out first for a stable surface to work on. but the entire dash pad comes off of the hard part of the dash
