hey lol im new on this site so if im in the wrong area sorry...but i have a 1988 Honda Accord LXi and if a 2.0L Carb engine and i was wondering if theres a way to get rid of that big air intake and like add on somthing onto the carb and possibly make my own intake??? if anyone understands :P im not that great at explaining

i would say just flip the lid your not gona gain anything from a cai or sri

chop the box, same thing as a fliped lid just looks 100x better

if the engine was swapped for a carbed one, then a efi conversion will be simple cause you dont have to swap tanks/lines/looms, just the stuff in the engine bay, and the fuel pump.. that's if quick easy power is what you want

agreed. I would recommend for you to do that. better opportunity for intakes and what not. A better increase in hp of course

broke (money) broke (part) or they love carbs lol there a couple guys that went form fi to carb

lol yea i wondered that too if its an LXi why is it a carb engine, it doesnt matter about hp increse right now :P im jus goin for looks cuz later on i wanna swap eather another stock engine in it and rebuild it or swap it for a B16

not a big nuff motor imo for the 3g body size
b18c or hybrid b20b block b16/18c head, yeah
think someone working on a mount kit for the later b motors for the 3g
is a thread here somewhere bout it.

if looks is all your ofter chop that carb lid it will look something like this

it will give you better sound and responce aswell

if your to lazy to make your own , i can ship you mine for a few bucks. its useless to me now

like you have a carb lid just feel how much it is and guess how much it weighs then go to usps.com and figure out how much it will cost to ship.. that will be how much i need from ya so i cna ship it to ya, its boxed up right now so i cnat really figure out the weight, but if you want it i will get it out for ya and ship it out

that might not be worth it on price for you to ship it to canada, might be cheeper for you to chop one yourself, but mayby not so ill wait to see what numbers you get

lol yea man ive got pics just none posted yet and yea itll cost me quite a bit to ship yours here, ill chop mine looks fairly easy thanks anyways

Straight through and out the exhaust :)

Nah its just when ever i had a carb car i removed the filter cause it was a temporary motor that i didnt care about. did some miles on it too without fail haha
