Oh my goshh help! So I'm on my way home and I realize my engine is making this "CLICK CLICK CLICK" sound and it goes in rhythm with my acceleration. I noticed my rpm was jumping all over the place. As I worked my way home the rpm was jumping into higher range while I was beginning to lose acceleration. It's got oil. When I got home I cut it off, then turned it back on and the rpm jumped up to about 4500, 5000. Please, tell me my car is not royally fucked!

If the 4500rpms is your idle then you need to check #1 that your throttle is closing all the way and #2 that the idle boost dashpot by the throttle linkage is working properly. It should have good vacuum at idle and it should raise the RPMs when disconnected (DX, LX only)

LOL.....^^^^ agreed...either valve lash or your crank bearings taking a POO. so idk...cant be a crankshaft.

Sorry guys, but it was the camshaft. Somehow one of the bolts came loose and it fucked up and so put in a new(used) camshaft and good to go.
