is there ANYTHING i can do to my car to make it look better right now for free or less than $30, its an 88 lxi hatchback, 5 spd, rims, black hood, tinted windows, sri... anything?

modded white gauge lights?:D paint all interior trim to make it match the dash offset color? bondo,icing,primer,paint and a little elbow grease? oh i sanded down and painted all the black trims on the car flat black.(wiper arms, antenna bracket, side mirrors)
hit up the jys to see if u can find any plastic peices that are not cracked if you have some that are.
Theres alot of small things you can do to make it stand out.

that plus!
repaint every peace of trim and black plastic on the outside of the car with satin black paint and get some night shades and tint the turn singles (if u have 88-89 leave the reflicters orange if u have 86-87 paint the whole thing with it )
also paint the grill and eyelids black , remove the front plate if u have one , and thats all i can think of for now

there is no such thing as a way to do something for free, and easy. even if you make all your own stuff you spend time, if you buy stuff you spend money. this is for any car.

Take good pictures of it from a couple of angles and post them here. We'll tell you what to do.

whats a claybar?

and a clay bar... you can pick one up at your local body and paint store.. or you can get one at autozone.. instructions are on the back of the clay bar box..

aw c'mon now, you should know this by now.

all hatchies had full orange lenses. No easy way to clear them.

But in my defense, ive never seen a hatchie in person.

hatches are the easiest to make clear. take off the orange lense. get a piece of plexi glass, put the orange on it and cut the plexi so its the same shape. then drill the 2 holes and put the plexi on inplace of the orange and they are now clear. hella easy. took me like 15 minutes to cut and clean up edges. then 2 minutes to put back on.
