is it possable to adjust the speedo in a 89 lx-i automatic? and another thing what are common motor swaps, i know the b20a and stuff along those lines and i have heard of some b18/b16 swaps but the company that made the mounts went outta business... so does anyone else make them and would any v6's fit like the j30a or anything like that.....

I came up in this problem a while back when i got some different rims/wrong size tires. I dont think you can adjust it. One thing I thought of was to get someone else with a car to drive to 10,20,30,ect and mark each on the gauge itself. The easiest way imo is to download the white gauge face and open paint/photoshope/whatever and remove the lines and # ( or just cut a circle of paper) and remark them driving*.Then take the angles from center and incorporate them into a new printed face.

*For the love of god do this where there is no other traffic!

I believe someone fit the 2.7 legend motor in the 3g a while back... It was a squeeze. Not really worth it imo.

Only way I could see adjusting the speedo would be doing away with the cable and original speedometer/cluster and going electronic, then getting the compensator (if they even make one).

some auto electricians can do what you ask.
you would have to figure out the diff in the rolling circumference of the new tire and the oem tire and work out a difference in a percentage and the auto electrician shoud be able to make the right adjustment to the speedo gearing.
the easy way is just match the new tire diameter to the old
i.e a 205/50/15 is about the same as a 185/70/13 i think
