something wrong with your voltage

i would start by fixing the prob and not putting any "band-ads" on it

and if your talking about something like this then just hook red to pos and blue to neg and mount but you would notice more of a differance by upgrading the current wires to a larger size then to add one of these

ur prob gonna be pushing like 600watts rms. peak mean nothing, and unless u got a amp that can push the proper wattage at the right ohms then u wont need anything.

wait wait... DONT get the one from Walmart. i know which one ur takin about. its shit. u need 1K Farad cap if ur runnin 1000 watts the wallmart one is only 5k Microfarads. which is only good for 500 watts Max. it would be a waist of 80 bucks. u can get cheep ones on ebay or get them at bestbuy / any audio dealer, make sure u get a 1K Farad. the walmart one is misleading it say 5K... but its Microfarads...

LOL @ russiankid

So WTF does a voltage stabilizer do? Its it like a capacitor that takes up slack during power draws or what? Or does it do that AND keep the power from spiking above like 13? Doesn't a Legend have like a 160amp alternator? Why not get one of those?

a capacitor IS a voltage stabilizer, I have no idea what you bought there lol

So what is it supposed to do? Or is it a box with a smaller capacitor inside it?

EDIT: Wow for $9.99, I bet it's just a box with an LED on the outside of it. I should start selling these.

You're better off building your own functional capacitor. Not that hard to do with some research.

well if your only running 300-400 watts its fine and if you dont have any dimming and such before a cap they can actually help the sound out alot
ive been meaning to pick up a half cap just havent been looking for one

FIRST LETS WORK ON NOT TALKING ON A FORUM LIKE YOUR TEXTING PLEASE

2nd go buy a cap lol get the walmart one there all really the same
but if you dont know how to hook a voltage stabilizer up i would not trust you to install a cap there actually quit dangerous

they have to be ran inline with the power wire form the amp
they need to be about 3 feet from the amp to do anything great
you have to ground them separately from the amp so not on the same wire or at the same ground location

3rd those sony subs will not handle that much i had 3 of them and a 1800 watt amp and i could never ever turn the gain up
way to much for them trust me

ahm tew cunfuzd to read when peplz write lik dis :)
You can find a cap (aka capacitor) at walmart, best buy, brandsmart, etc.
Ebay has a lot to choose from, get at least a 1 farad.
