It happens man. I had a radiator leak on my non-3gee car. I thought it was the hose. I changed the hose, and now the radiator has a nice steady stream of fluid, which is probably a crack.

Maybe the hoses were defective?

No they were old hoses that burst. ive replaced all of them now so none leak at all. Only ones left to replace are two main heater hoses.

Tim i wont be at the v tomorrow.

Thats the first thing I do when I get an old car, is replace the whole cooling system. My 3gee's cooling system is about 3-4 years old, probably about time to redo it again.

I don't know about needing to replace the cooling system after three years. If they can make OEM cooling parts last for 15+ years given the owner flushes and changes fluid regularly, you really shouldn't have to, "redo" it.

Your car is the shit. I'll be amazed if my car makes it within a hundred thousand miles of where yours already is.
