so... today for some reason i got the "impulse buy" that i wanted to buy a new Grant steering wheel. so i went to autozone, they only had 3 wheels, and no install kits. then i remembered this place down the street called schucks(sp?) that had a bunch of steering wheels. so i went there, grabbed a cool steering wheel and install kit. then as i was walking to the checkout counter i walked by the big battery stand they had and on top, were 2 racing bucket seats on super-sale! ive seen 'em for sale before for about 100 bux each, and this sign said 'clearance- was 89.98, now 24.97' so i had to grab two of them, along with the covers... so ill be putting these in when i put the stage 3 clutch in!!!

oh yea, and ill post pix of the steering wheel tomorrow...
but for now, i think i put it on too tight cuz i cant use my turn signal switch thingy... no good. but i think if i loosed everything up and put a shimmy or something there it will work.

OH! also, just ordered 2 sets of 4 point 'racing' harnesses, aka seatbelts with 2 shoulders... and 4 of those little padded foam things that go on the shoulder straps for comfort. they look kinda gay so ill prolly flip them so they are just red.

itzdave
03-19-2009, 09:39 PM
well, its definately different... the sliders dont work so well cuz there are big bolts in the tracks, so i gotta pretty much put it where i want it and keep it there. its kind of a pain to get out of but that is no big deal at all, just gotta get used to it. the only thing i dont really like is that its a SUPER hassel to get my wallet out of my car while im seated. but thats about it. but they look and feel like TEH SEX!!

good shit. how are the seatbelts hooked up though?

itzdave
03-19-2009, 11:27 PM
the lap-belt part goes in the normal spot. the shoulder belts, i put them where the rear seat belts went where the rear seat was, and i crossed them behind the seat for a lil bit of extra support. (left shoulder bolted on right side etc.)

Try Spaco Pro 2000 bucket seat much better.
It's feel right you are siting on racing car.
But, it difficult to get off the car so, you have to takeoff the steering wheel...! same as my car...
