how come my seatbelt light never goes off for my passenger side seat unless the seatbelt's buckled. Is there some other way than to always keep the belt buckled- What i mean is is there a way to have it stay off as long as nobody else is in the car?

Your seat sensor is probably bad or unplugged under the seat.

errr, the 3g doesn't have a passenger side seatbelt sensor...

They do Carot. If what he is speaking of are the seatbelt indicators above the rear view mirror. I would suggest that you unplug the connector for the passenger seatbelt sensor and place a jumper wire in it. Better yet, remove the connector and splice the two wires together. This will complete the circuit, thus turning the indicator off.

they are the ones above the mirror, and whatever you said made absolutely no sense to me

okie, the coupe's seat belts are supposed to be buckled all the time. Hence, the "emergency release" red tag on the sides.
I went to honda last month to ask them to "replace" my seat belts cause they don't really retract properly, but instead the mechanic just cleaned it a little and told me the proper way to slide my arse into the car. Now that's a real PITA.

The easiest thing to do if you don't like looking at the light (besides leaving the belts buckled all the time) is to take apart the light bulb housing (by removing the rear view mirror and a couple of screws) and just remove the bulbs. They are the little twist in types.
