I scammed a civic from my mate, he has a civic coupe with a fucked engine and he bought the car for $200 for the motor and manual swap, he said if i swap his coupe to manual with the sohc d16.

now this car is rough as fuck, i dont know if im going to use this chassis, only got it cause it has live plates, the pics got deleted :(

good shit au. looks like ist has seen some better days eh.
interior looks tops though

03-21-2009, 11:02 PM
lol what are the plans for it? and damnit i wish that was a EJ or even an EK id be asking you how long till you part it out

03-21-2009, 11:31 PM
ek's are gay but the motors going into a EJ :)

03-21-2009, 11:41 PM
i agree EK's are gay... so an EJ you say?? wana get me some JDM TYTE YO parts for my girls EJ? lol

**edit** i mean a EJ8 or even some EJ6 parts...**

Hauntd ca3
03-21-2009, 11:43 PM
keep the wheels and part it out

03-21-2009, 11:49 PM
wheels are going on my mates ej, Mate alex thinks it will be fixable and i dont mind filling it with body filler, its not a restore job its a DD haha

and im sorry to say the EJ is USDM theres nothing japanese about it lol its got honda of america all over it but there is jap writing on the fuse box etc, its prolly the wrong ek for you anyway as its the EG shape EJ not the EK type

03-21-2009, 11:56 PM

LOL i know... it was kinda a joke.. nvm and actully all the EJ6 and EJ8 coupes were built in canada.. but parts were shiped from the states to them for them to build it

lol have fun with the DD and if it becomes a PIA just drive it into a lake, then its worth the small amount you paied

03-22-2009, 12:07 AM
its a OMGNEWHONDA so even as a POS its still worth $500 lol

03-22-2009, 12:14 AM
hahah just take it in the backwood 4x4 when ur done with it :P

03-22-2009, 12:19 AM
oh noes

03-22-2009, 02:40 AM
you should be able to sell the RHD conversion parts to somebody in US..dash n stuff

03-22-2009, 10:04 AM
she looks hurt.

03-22-2009, 11:39 AM
you should be able to sell the RHD conversion parts to somebody in US..dash n stuff
why bother lol

she looks hurt.
it is the poor thing, but thats alright she will be good as new in no time...

03-22-2009, 12:10 PM
All the EJs I've seen here are made in Canada. Never seen a 92-95 Civic made in USA.

Looks like a rough project man. Might as well cut off as much sheetmetal as possible and make it a motor with frame and build a roll cage and use it as an off road buggy.

03-22-2009, 12:14 PM
lol haha weight reduct it.

1st things 1st i have to convert it to auto and convert my mates coupe to manual, the motor the hatch will be running is a d15b vtec-e engine thats sitting in the coupe currently (doesnt work.. wiring failure) so today i think im going to remove the manual parts and engine from the civic and pull the eti motor from the ej and put the d16a7 into it and fire her up anmd see if it runs, then swap the pedals and shifter etc over

03-22-2009, 02:07 PM
was just a suggestion to make $
anyway why does it say dohc on the quarter panel.:dunno:
have fun with it!

Rendon LX-i
03-22-2009, 09:04 PM
Looks like a good project car bro. D series O WHAT A FEELING

03-22-2009, 11:37 PM
poo poos d series crap
anyways i got started working today, removed the motor and box from the hatch and then the motor from the coupe, put the hatches motor in the coupe and hooked it all up, brrmmmm the coupe lives, now i have to do the rest of the auto to manual swap on the coupe and he can have it back

03-23-2009, 12:02 AM

The hatch is manual so i have to swap the coupe from auto to manual, Learning curve for me, im used to working on pre 1990 hondas

AND looking what i found in the hatch, random as the must be a replacement gearbox cause why would a nz new LXI civic have a LSD

So far the d16a7 is in the coupe all wired up axles in motor starts and runs mint.. with an error code 11 may i add... I removed the auto shifted and installed the rod shift, tomorrow i get the fun part of installing the clutch pedal/lines and master cylinder more pics then

Hauntd ca3
03-23-2009, 12:07 AM
should pull that dif out and see how far away from fitting the b2k5, just since you have a blown up one hanging round

03-23-2009, 12:18 AM
axles dont fit so im not going to bother its in my mates coupe now so lucky him

Civic Accord Honda
03-23-2009, 12:28 AM
i reckon that valve cover could use a new paint job eh?

03-23-2009, 01:13 AM
lol not my problem

Im going to convert the hatch to auto so it can move !!

03-23-2009, 09:08 PM
the coupe is now manual and has a clutch pedal etc etc etc its all swapepd and not the fucking motor doesnt run, same symptons as before, error code 11 and a flat revlimit at 2k rpm, looks liek i have to swap the loom

03-24-2009, 05:57 PM
Ok theres is something seriously fucked in this coupe i have no idea what it is
- Changed main relay, battery, fusebox, same problem
- changed engine, same problem
- changed ecu, same problem.
- changed fuel filter, same problem
- continuity tested every wire that goes to a sensor in the engine bay (checked out fine) and still had the same problem
- changed car wiring loom, same problem
- Changed Fuel Pump, same problem
- Changed fuel lines, same problem

its like this car has a curse on it, its had three motors now all three do the same thing, im stuck and i have to give up, theres really NOTHING more i can do

News with the civic, it now has no wiring loom as i took it to use in the coupe, but that failed so i guess ill be taking that loom back. its pretty stripped now, no dash etc etc

03-24-2009, 06:43 PM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve2nQlbo8Zo heres what its doing

03-24-2009, 06:54 PM

Hauntd ca3
03-24-2009, 08:47 PM
duz sound like an ignition break down to me.
like its running on 3 when you give it some throttle.
have you tried a diff distributor and leads?

Rendon LX-i
03-24-2009, 08:58 PM
Umm..sounds like its choking. something with the dizzy..i couldnt find out for you bro. my buddy had no clue also

03-24-2009, 11:36 PM
Yeah theres no such code as 11

why would three different engines on 3 different dizzys and 2 sets of leads do the same thing??

Hauntd ca3
03-25-2009, 12:11 AM
possibly a clogged fuel filter not allowing enuf fuel thru, that can sound similar to ign break down.

3rd Party
03-25-2009, 12:23 AM
MAP sensor maybe? i know when the MAP sensor's not hooked up it sounds like dick under load, and when revved. especially with MAF sensors too...but i may have over looked this replacement...so void this post if so.

03-25-2009, 12:30 AM
fuel filters mint theres heaps of fuel pressure etc and flow getting to the fuel rail, return line works good, I think im going to put the coupes engine into the hatch and hook it up and see what happens lol

3rd Party
03-25-2009, 12:32 AM
i suppose the MAP sensor checked out then?

Civic Accord Honda
03-25-2009, 12:43 AM
me thinks the coupe is cursed

hows the grounds? my accord ran simular to that when its grounds were fried . check all of them maybe one going to the ecu is cacked or something

03-25-2009, 12:53 AM
yes its not throwing map codes i think the grounds r all mint

Civic Accord Honda
03-25-2009, 01:04 AM

giood luck

03-25-2009, 07:37 PM
tried unplugging the alternator etc nothing happened same with the speed sensor

put the loom back in the hatch with the coupes old motor and it fired up perfectly

03-25-2009, 07:48 PM
thats wierd bro

03-26-2009, 12:25 AM
Im going to have to let my mate sort this out im stumpted, swapped everything i can

03-27-2009, 01:19 PM
Okay heres an update on the civic, went and robbed a car for its manual parts yesterday including a 5 speed B series gearbox:

b series swap on

03-27-2009, 04:30 PM
Doesnt look worth the trouble. that shit is BEAT. Im sure there HAS to be some EG hatch for cheap better shape than that. You didnt scam him, he scammed YOU.

All the coupes are built in US. Even JDM coupes. All vins begins with 1HGEJ1(EX) or EJ2(DX) same with EK coupes. And also unmentioned are EJ7, which are HX's. All JDM 96-00 coupes were EJ7's also.

03-27-2009, 08:39 PM
Fixed the coupe today, the problem was the catalic converter was like 99% blocked, no wonder it wouldnt rev!! so thats all going fine

The civic isnt too bad only looks it in the pics, 2 nre lights 2 guards a right front door and it will be minter

eg civic over here are worth heaps still even if they are de registered and crashed so im not going to get a better deal than this one

03-27-2009, 09:18 PM
A friend of mine had a 92 CX with a partially-collapsed right quarter and then got hit on the left badly enough to total the car. He got both sides pushed out with a bigass hydraulic thing, then bondoed the crap out of the left side. Looked fine, sold for almost twice what he paid for it.

It can be done. His was [edit] a lot worse than yours, mostly because both sides were smashed down to the rockers and the bad side screwed up the door jamb.

03-27-2009, 09:40 PM
thanks for the hope dude!! lol i plan on filling it with filler where i cant get it straight

03-28-2009, 03:37 AM
eg civic over here are worth heaps still even if they are de registered and crashed so im not going to get a better deal than this one

If thats the case, trade me your Accord for my EH3.

03-28-2009, 02:13 PM
thanks for the hope dude!! lol i plan on filling it with filler where i cant get it straight
It looks like the door still closes fine, so it's probably not even that big of a job. Be careful if you're hammering it from the inside, though; we accidentally punched a hole in it. :D

03-28-2009, 02:55 PM
haha yeah its going to need some hammering. my mate has tools for the job

03-28-2009, 10:47 PM
Did some rust work on the civic today, all i had was rust converter, a wire brush and por15, so i rust converted the bits with surface rust and por15'ed over them then painted over it. Theres a lot of other rust holes around that will need welding up too.

the motor in it is a vtec-E d15b mated to an auto box, i just realised the auto box has a fucked cable shifter so i cant use it, Im looking for either a b18a1/b or b20b or even a cheap b16a or something to just make the car move. my mate has a manual d series box as a last resort i can have but i need a clutch/flywheel before that can go on.

Civic Accord Honda
03-28-2009, 10:51 PM
good shit should be a good econo box! that vtech e will get u good mpgs

03-28-2009, 10:53 PM
yeah i dont have the ecu/wideband oxy etc etc

03-29-2009, 02:38 AM
Love your jack stands.

03-29-2009, 09:10 AM
I'm confused about your recent slew of Civics. So this hatch is yours, but that coupe was your friends?

03-29-2009, 12:10 PM
Yeah the coupes a mates and it goes now so it can leave the property, The hatch im working on :)

04-03-2009, 01:24 PM

04-03-2009, 01:41 PM

04-17-2009, 01:55 PM

04-17-2009, 06:08 PM

04-18-2009, 01:47 PM

hey watch out now :squint:

04-19-2009, 01:39 PM
nothing wrong with USDM i meant they are down tuned motors thats all.

might go remobve the gay D series today and install the B18B :D

04-21-2009, 01:02 PM
the b18 is sitting in the civic, but someone never told me that the rear mount bracket was different from eg to ek so i needed to get an eg rear mount and swap it for my EK orthia one.

i got some new pics to post up soon.

Civic Accord Honda
04-21-2009, 01:09 PM
might go remobve the gay D series today and install the B18B :D

Now why'd you go and do that :uh:

04-21-2009, 01:27 PM
cause d series is FUCKING SLOW and useless

04-21-2009, 05:42 PM
Today i fitted the eg b series rear mount, motor sits mint now, i bolted the door on and experimented with the accord f1 seats, i managed to get them to fit in there. i installed the arm rest console too, i put on an accord leather steering wheel its going to be just like driving my car hahahaha anyways pics....

04-21-2009, 05:44 PM
you can even see the hole in the gearbox casing, i got to patch that up

Civic Accord Honda
04-21-2009, 06:20 PM
thoughs seats look comfortable !

04-21-2009, 09:21 PM
oh yeah they are mint, no sore ass when u drive for hours on end

Rendon LX-i
04-21-2009, 09:54 PM
i was going to say aaron damn there a hole there lol

04-21-2009, 09:58 PM
the holes no biggie, a mount usd to be there, i got an add out for a b series casing but failing finding one ill patch the hole as the mount is not really required if you solidify the rear mount

04-22-2009, 03:30 PM
Looking good so far! :)

04-22-2009, 03:50 PM
Haha <3 the seats.

04-22-2009, 10:52 PM
seats are win! lol

today i worked on the engine, bolted the intake on temporarily (no gasket so their will be air leaks and a high idle)
Sorted out the wiring too, im using the loom i got from the donor EK so i had to butcher the eg loom to match.
http://i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv240/accordb20a/P4221465.jpg and last of all

Rendon LX-i
04-22-2009, 10:58 PM

04-22-2009, 11:09 PM
need to sort out the large hole in the gear box

04-24-2009, 09:30 PM
ZOMG it runs!

04-24-2009, 09:51 PM
totally, next time i go to mums im going to try and get the wiring completed :)

04-29-2009, 02:30 AM
wiring aint complete yet, but i have got the stock main relay to work with the OBD2 so that wins just needa tidy up the wiring, my mate has a blown b16a gearbox that he might sell me the casing from, that means i can make the car driveable, Although i may need a b series right hand axle.

Civic Accord Honda
04-29-2009, 03:13 AM

04-30-2009, 09:37 PM
Bought a couple of things for the civic: Amplifier.... was cheap and faulty. ill fix it tho cant be much wrong. its rated 4 X 200wRMS.
Also a 4 gauge wiring kit/rcas/fuse for $10.
Should be sweet, ill bridge 2 channels for the sub and run the other 2 channels on the civic front speakers. its a 2 door so rear speakers will not be required.

Rendon LX-i
04-30-2009, 10:10 PM
OH SHIT...the true lanzar...those are awesome amps...shit i cant belive they have em over there...sweet.

05-14-2009, 12:55 AM
good news guys, my mate justin got in a dark green EG civic that had the right hand side fender/bumper/bonnet stoved in. So im buying the manual engine chassis mount, left fender and right front door glass from it for $80! and probably anything else i need off it aswell (fuck all)

I really need to do some work on this car, like put the interior back together as its still all over the place. Then ill update with some pics.

05-14-2009, 02:25 AM

05-14-2009, 10:20 PM
yay indeed i wanna do some more work on it

05-15-2009, 12:16 PM
So....an Accord wheel goes right on an EG spline with no issues???

I will have to do this then. 3G wheel is my favorite wheel from a USDM Honda, other than a EP3 red stitch with a S2K airbag hybrid, which I plan for the Lude.

05-15-2009, 02:20 PM
Yeah i was suprised to see it go right on too. stoked. BUT the indicator switch and horn wiring isnt there so i dont know for sure yet.

05-15-2009, 02:38 PM
I believe Accord wheels are closer to the switch vs EG being closer to the driver and will probably being too close with the switch

05-15-2009, 05:11 PM
might have to do some improvising there then. its just the civic came with a rice wheel that my mate took so it doesnt have one, but thats okay if i have to find a non airbag stock EG one its all good, actually the parts car at my wrecker mates yard has one i may scam it if the leather wrapped accord one fails.

08-02-2009, 12:05 AM
have not updated this for a while, since the last post i bought a b series box from pick a part for $103NZ, cut the front off another civic to weld onto mine for $30. Today i have installed the new box into the car so its all bolted up, i did get pics ill post them later as i am on dial up still. i bought some brake fluid and gasket maker today so i can make me a intake gasket and bleed the clutch, then all i got to do is stick in the axles and hook up the shifter and see what happens :)

08-03-2009, 01:12 AM
here i has some pics

Patched the hole in the gearbox
then found a new gearbox in pick a part so i swapped it in
got complete set of axles
and a front chop ready to be welded on!

Fuck yes

08-07-2009, 02:59 AM
last night i went out there and installed the clutch lines and put the intake back on the motor, it still idles at 5000rpm, so i took the intake off again only to see bits of old gasket around the studs, so i removed that slapped it back on with some gasket sealer and called it a night, Tomorrow i will go at it again to see if i can try get it driving, the other day i also scammed a car alarm from an integra for it. its a uniden the same as my car has. just another thing that iu dint have to buy for it. Anyways pics tomorrow and maybe a vid if i can get it to drive by then

08-07-2009, 09:05 AM

hopefully today when i get it out of the shed and drive it. ill need to install some gear box lubrication fluid 1st.

08-07-2009, 01:19 PM
I believe Accord wheels are closer to the switch vs EG being closer to the driver and will probably being too close with the switch

lolwut I just read this again and wtf am I smoking?

08-08-2009, 03:12 PM
yay good work there (Y)

08-09-2009, 02:01 AM
did not manage to get any videos of the civic driving as i do not have any radiator hoses which fails hard. Anyways i spent the day in the interior sorting out the wiring, i put the heater fan etc back in mounted the ecu and hid all the wires
and installed the alarm

hope i get tuesday off work then ill be at it again its ready for the dash to go back in.

08-09-2009, 02:56 AM
good progess there. that's kinda motivating me to get my civic going lol

well i dont get tuesday off work so it looks like it will be on hold

08-10-2009, 02:11 AM

08-16-2009, 03:27 AM
This weekend i went to pick a part, Found a B18B Powered domani (different looking eg type sedan) and i took its accelerator cable, radiator and hoses engine loom and a p54 ecu which seems to be factory chipped :-S )

I also got a dc steering wheel for it so it will look standard. now i need time to make it work. the reason i got the engine loom is cause its currently OBD2 and i want it to be OBD1 for tuning purposes.

I also got the b18b dizzy so if anyone with a b20a swap wants to go OBD1 i can sell you it

08-18-2009, 01:17 AM
worked on the civic this afternoon, Put the radiator in it and hooked it up anmmd took it up the road for a test drive

pulls pretty good, i didnt have any gauges or dash or anything on the car

and i also installed most of the interior

Radiator done
Installed the dash board combo switch and a shitty old tape player
and the DC integra steering wheel in black i got for it. needs a good clean

Next on the list is to make the seats and center console work, then convert the engine back to OBD1

Rendon LX-i
08-18-2009, 09:45 PM
Fuck yes....i love the pull...you should of launched it LOL

08-18-2009, 09:55 PM
it bakes up too hard as u may have heard when i left the gate it skidded. not to mension i had a seat that was sitting there no seat belts steering wheel had no nut on it and its running out of gas. ill give it a thrash once its nearly complete.

heres a quick update on the civic, no pics, but i drove it onto the trailer today and took it to my mates place, its going to stay there the week and hes going to tack on the front end. thats going to be sweet when its done,

10-26-2009, 01:36 AM

11-01-2009, 12:00 AM
if you've never had to cert a car before, its like a mega strict vin inspection eh.
they'll crawl in one end and out the other

11-01-2009, 12:37 AM
i bet, ill probably get around it without certing will be 10X easier haha im a master of hiding things

11-01-2009, 12:54 AM
lol by throwing some dirt & oil & grease over the engine code? haha

11-01-2009, 01:41 AM
theres no tag stating the car has a D16A7 in the 1st place :P

so its a factory b18b powered civic, it all looks standard ha

11-03-2009, 05:23 PM
Lots of work into this beast! Coming along very nicely! Keep up the hard work!

11-10-2009, 12:37 AM

Heres some pics of the new bonnet

and yes i still need to sort that engine wiring out lol

Nice rebuild. I'll give it to ya for having to run the 5 speed with the left arm.

12-22-2009, 01:51 AM
Wow....awesome work aaron. I havent kept up with the thread but Looking good my friend. What are you plans? your dd? or your keeping this one? or your selling it

this will be my little race car haha

it will be receiving a vtec head at some stage and maybe after that a turbo will be bolted to it. should be a fun little car then, providing i can fund it. turbo/tuning aint cheap on a b series

did some work on it a week or so ago, waterblasted the engine bay and tidied up all those wires. still more wiring to fix tho, the headlights and shit wiring is still tied up by the firewall haha got to run it down the guards into the lights. Then i have to swap rear drums onto it cause the calipers i have on the rear disks are fucked and i cbf fixing them so drums will do for now, ill install the shocks when i do that, hope it sits lower.

12-22-2009, 09:21 AM

i might be picking up another eg shell someday soon...

01-02-2010, 08:39 PM
big change of plan has occuuuuured. my mate gave me this, its straighter than mine and will take way less money and work to become road legal, yes i know i have put a lot of time into the front chop of the other civic but i couldnt turn this one down...

im going to swap all the stuff from one car to the other as this ones in better condition. ill post pic as i go

01-03-2010, 06:23 PM
Good call on the good shell. How much did you get it for? It does look quite a bit nicer...

01-03-2010, 09:41 PM
it was free, my mate wanted it off his lawn, the only problem on it is someone welded rust on the spare tyre well and theres a assload of bog on the right rear pillar.

might cut the spare tyre well out of my other civic before it goes to the dump, man it sucks having to throw out a car that i spent money on to get the front put back on.

Ill post later with more pics of the work i have done today

Heres some pics

New civic is now ready to start installing shit into, Last night i installed the GAB shockls, they bolted right in.
Also last night i installed the wiring loom from the old civic.

Tonight i installed the heatercores and dash

More Updates Later

01-16-2010, 03:38 AM

01-28-2010, 02:44 AM
Old civic is now fully stripped and ready to go to the dump tomorrow, i rolled it up onto its side like this by myself with a little biut of help from my gf lol man eg shells are light when they have nothing in them

01-28-2010, 04:44 AM

01-28-2010, 08:08 AM
Haha! Strip it!

02-25-2010, 11:09 PM
righto as you guys may know the civic is driveable, i drove it 7km from my mums back into town and now its at my house where i can work on it after work to try and get it road worthey.

All the lights are in and hooked up , may need to align the headlights a bit, needs a POS filter also, other than that its all interior to go.

heres some pics of it as it sits on my lawn

02-26-2010, 08:52 AM
Looking better! Love the bee series motor.

02-26-2010, 04:59 PM
beeeee haha it looses coolant somewhere so ill have to fix that, its one of the heater hoses and the lack of radiator overflow bottle is my best bet, might go out and stick the other 2 mags on it

03-04-2010, 02:06 AM
decided im not going with the accord f1 seats, too much work to make them fit and i dont have a welder and grinder so im going for some dc integra seats instead.

last night i managed to get the carpet installed YAY!

03-18-2010, 11:46 AM

03-21-2010, 01:35 AM
del slow rims ahaha nar they are dc1 rims remember they came of my car, and they are installed. i robed its fuel line to use in the crx and the battery to use in the other accord so this civic will not be going anywhere soon lol

05-04-2010, 01:55 AM
bought a set of dc integra seats today from my mate justin for $80 to replace the shitbox nz new grey thrashed ones

now i just need to get the rest of the eg interior in black to match the seats haha, Also installed the factory EG9 strut brace finally

hey guys.. im new here trying to find the right place to be. I got a 87 honda accord sedan. want to spice it up a bit but having trouble with advise. i see alot of sweet cars on here so hope this is the place to be. Mines an 87 accord/ 12v/ carb. what can i do to spice it up. Some friends say swap out the enigne. local speed shop say theres not much you can do except maybe put headers and or weber carbs on it.

05-04-2010, 09:09 AM
I love the bolt try you are using! recycle valve covers FTW....

Also on a side note. Bond3d...

05-06-2010, 01:47 AM
Wow you got that thing going fast Aaron. Definately a much better shell you working with there. And with the B series engine I bet she is pretty fast!

05-07-2010, 12:51 AM
it will be faster when i make up my mind what engine will power it haha

05-07-2010, 08:16 AM
hard working dude! I like the progress photos like that, cool car

05-08-2010, 12:07 AM
did some more work on the civic today, Because the door cards i have are for manual window winders and my doors have electric winders so i modded the door cards to take accord rear door window winder switches, Now i have windows that go up and down meeaann, pics later. Other things i did today were:

-install and plug in foglight loom, now to install some accord fogs on it :D
-fix dash light dimmer so the dash lit up
-Replace bulbs in the gauge cluster so the other half of it can be seen
-fix a ground for the stereo, and wire up the boost gauge that came with the car, haha
-install and plug in sidemarkers in the guards

oh and i hooked up the flashing LED for my alarm haha, i need to buy a battery for this car too im sick of stealing the CRX's one

05-09-2010, 10:55 AM
dang son. this is looking good.

05-12-2010, 01:30 AM
more progress, hooked up a leadlight and worked on the car in the dark,

- hooked up the windscreen wiper motor wires
- put the wiper arms on
- put the new stereo in the hole, ill post some pics of the radio at some stage
- bought a second hand but good battery for it yesterday for $20 so i installed it

then i went for a drive with my gf, 120kms of winding road there and back all done on $20 gas, good milage ftw, half way there i noted my front wheel nuts were lose and there was only two of them, lucky i had a wheel brace in the boot, i went around the whole car, the rest are sweet.

Just a few known issues to sort
- Heater doesnt have a hot/cold knob and that got anoying
- clutch fork bearing is noisey as fuck when foot is on the clutch
- brake dust guard on the LF wheel scrapes hardout for some silly reason
- exhaust rubbers missing from rear muffler make it drag on the road when cornering excessively

and the worcest problem is the fucking fuel tank, it says i has 1/4 a tank yet it fuel surges, i have sorted a dc2 integra efi tank ill try for size and buy it if it fits, anyone know if it will fit??

05-17-2010, 10:34 PM
okay today i went and installed the dc2 tank, its fitted with some force, came with 1/4 a tank of fuel also haha, also fixed the horn, woot, and driving home the excellerator cable fell off hahaha

07-11-2010, 02:32 AM
right i went ahead and bought me some 17" mags

old wheels:
new wheels:

only two have tyres at the moment. 205-40-17. ill have to buy a couple more at somestage, I plan on getting this car on the road now while my cars getting worked on ill use this car :)

the wheels costed me $300NZD

07-11-2010, 02:47 AM
sweet thats a pretty good deal on them wheels

Civic Accord Honda
07-12-2010, 01:32 PM
wheels look sex car looks great came a long way

07-17-2010, 08:45 PM
right worked on the civic for a hour or so today, i put the two mags i have with tyres to the back and this week ill buy 2 more new tyres for the other wheels so they can go on the front.

i jacked it up and pulled out the steering rack today, im going to pull it to bits and r
remove its shit to make it a manual rack :)

07-18-2010, 06:01 AM
Please tell me you don't have that car jacked up on the core support....

07-18-2010, 09:14 PM
i did indeeed until the tyres went under to hold it of the ground

07-24-2010, 02:57 PM
right the racks converted, seals all removed and holes welded up and the rack is greased

Last night i stuck it back into the car. it feels good not too heavy its awesome, lets hope it passes a warrant now haha

07-24-2010, 03:04 PM

today ill work on tidying up the engine bay wires etc etc and etc

My new tyres are coming monday for my 17s so come tuesday this will receive the last two whels and a wheel alignment and ready to go for a wof on wednesday!

07-25-2010, 12:48 AM
double fucking post

07-25-2010, 12:49 AM
Installed the eg9 lower subframe brace rod thing today, was easy it just slid right in and bolted up mean

all the engine bay wiring is tidied up. Since this car is now running a DC2 integra fuel tank i had to extend and re route the fuel tank sender wires as the integra tank has it in a different spot. so i did that and put the rear seat in properly, I stole a windscreen squirter nozzle from the old CRX bonnet too as the civic was missing one and they will fail the warrant of fitness on that. I also added a couple of exhaust rubbers that were missing, no wonder the rear muffler would rub on the right rear wheel when cornering haha

Shes coming along well now

07-25-2010, 01:27 AM
cool lol what's that random blue & yellow wire floating in there do?

07-25-2010, 02:30 AM
that be the power wire for my heated 02 sensor, since im using a d series engine loom it doesnt have the three other wires i need for the check engine light to shut up, and that was before i taped the loom up nicely

took the civic for wof today, failed on a few things:

Horn doesnt operate
High stop light not working
Adjust headlights
dodgy repair on boot floor and RR roof pillar (some previous owner filled it with bog)
Tighten LF shock bolts
Frayed RF seatbelt

biggest job here is the welding to make to rear of the car look legit

damn....you have a car dealership aaron LOL. nice bro. VIDS.....k thanks bye.

09-02-2010, 01:07 AM
well this car keeps overheating over time, i found out the radiator cap was totally fucked so it purged all its water out the overflow. so i spent $7 and got a brand new one, stuck it on and now i find out the car STILL overheats. water now leaks out of between the intake manifold and the head as b series motors have a water line that goes on there, So now i have to spend some money and replace the intake manifold gasket, YAY

09-02-2010, 01:17 AM
hey at least it doesnt leak lots of coolant into the intake runner and hydrolock your motor :O

09-02-2010, 09:24 PM
haha it might do that anyway. i have bought three different intake gaskets, b18b,b18c and b16a and all three are different!!! haha

09-03-2010, 03:25 AM
right stuck the b18b gasket on and it is mint, even the engine idles normal now no more silly fluctuating idle, also the coolant doesnt leak from there anymore... now it leaks from the heater hose where it connects to the heater core. and also the iacv piping is too short and leaks also. man fixing the heater hose is going to be a cunt

09-04-2010, 01:36 AM
Heater hoses and shit all fixed, it holds its coolant, YAY

right since i had an incident where a shitty flatmate slammed his door and knocked some seats onto my mint blue bonnet i had to get another one, picket it up tonight from croolies for free cheers br0

09-04-2010, 01:45 AM

09-05-2010, 01:31 AM
200 kms later i check the radiator and, its still full. mean im a happy one, This car now needs a oil and filter change and ill buy some coolant for it and a new thermostat and it will be sweet, then the accord goes in the shed...

09-05-2010, 10:25 AM
Did you feel the Christchurch quake, way up there? Are you guys okay?

09-06-2010, 03:07 AM
nah i was sleeping and since chrischurch is like 600+ kms from here it wouldnt have been very strong

09-06-2010, 05:05 PM
Glad you got that coolant shit fixed. What's the hood say on it?

09-06-2010, 05:38 PM

09-11-2010, 04:09 AM
Well i went to pick a part today and bought some shit for the eg, ill post pics later, but i got a full set of lowering springs for eg/dc and other various un-fucked interior trims i have been missing :)

09-13-2010, 01:32 AM
Went to tauranga pick a part on saturday, Scammed off with some more eg civic interior pieces and i found a matt black dc integra with some king springs for for $44 bucks i took them and stuck them in the civic. the height did not change much as im running ef GAB adjustable shocks, but i must say it actually handles better on the kings. I discovered my rear trailing arm bushes are fucked, what a suprise.

heres some pics:

10-23-2010, 01:59 PM
not much changed with this car lately, theres still uncovered rust from when i had to grind it back to bare metal to show the warrant guy there was metal under the bog, and i finally have a boot rubber, but theres still a wire hole where the waters getting in lol

I have installed a "performance muffler" and tip on the car, it sounds alright it might be a bit on the loud side

stock shitty exhaust

another thing, i have chipped and socketed my ECU

currently running a crome usdm d16 bin with the jdm b18b fuel and ignition maps swapped into it. goes alright apart from having a shitty idle, i think i need to give the car a good service as the plugs are pretty worn and the oils starting to get black.

10-29-2010, 10:13 PM
dyno sheet:

the dyno was reading really low, theres no way this motor puts out that lesser power

Rendon LX-i
10-29-2010, 10:49 PM
running a d16 basemap......NO BUENO. you need a gsr basemap son. youll run a bit on the rich side but your choking that poor motor hehe

10-29-2010, 10:53 PM
b18b fuel and ignition maps have been loaded onto the chip so the ecu is pretty much a factory b18b one now so it aint the tune lol, i forgot to look at the afr while it was on the dyno (N)

Rendon LX-i
10-29-2010, 10:59 PM
where they using a wideband. Well if they where tuning im pretty sure.

10-30-2010, 04:19 AM
this was just a dyno run to check power output, AFR was on a screen and not on my paper sadly.

still running the factory tune, one day ill get it tuned properly but ill do that after i have a vtec head, it hauls arse fine as it is (Y)

10-30-2010, 09:16 AM
that is around 80 hp....my A20 had more power!

10-31-2010, 11:58 PM
yeah thats gay but the car definately has more even my mate that drove it said its got to have at least 80KW to be as quick as it is. anyways i got some rear koni yellow adjustable shocks for the back of my civic woop woop pics when i can locate my camera

11-01-2010, 12:16 AM

11-07-2010, 01:51 AM
right, more mods for the civic, today i removed my EF CRX GAB shocks and replaced them, i decided to sell my eg lowering springs, i replaced my suspension with koni yellows.

Since i have a pair of bilsteins for the front of my CA accord i decided to put my CA front Koni shocks into the front of the civic, I used the EF civic shock forks and they fitted mint. they are almost 50mm shorter in the body than stock eg shocks, so instead of using a lowered spring on them i chose the factory (i think) springs EF crx springs. it sacked the front down real nice, fuck all of a guard gap now with my 17s. for the rear i used the eg koni yellows i got, i set them to their lowers circlip level and once again used a stock EF spring, After all that it sits nice and low, and even, ill get some pics in the daylight but heres a good before and after...

11-07-2010, 10:21 PM
got some pics of how it sits

11-08-2010, 05:30 PM
goodies for the civic!!

some heavy duty engine mounts

and a rear disc conversion with nolathane trailing arm bushes

total money spent $150, ill post pics when i install.

11-08-2010, 08:35 PM
mount installation done, big improvement, car doesnt want to bunny hop now and it can chirp the wheels instead of making the engine nearly jump out of the bay when you change gear. there is a bit of vibration but hey this aint no cruiser haha.

I still need to replace the cambelt side mount as its fucked also.

i guess its time to do the rear disc install guys.....

11-12-2010, 02:35 PM
right last night i installed a swaybar off a dc2, had to change the lower control arms cause the eg4 ones didnt have swaybar holes, took it for another wheel alignment this morning, hoping its going to handle nice now, it appears to be nice to drive in town. havent taken out in the 100k area yet

11-12-2010, 07:29 PM

haha never you mind mister, ive sold a car recently so i have some cash and your spoiler will be with you in a bit.

01-15-2011, 12:35 PM
my mate recently wrecked a EG9 and offloaded the bigger front brakes to mee. yay

later on ill upgrade to some h22a prelude brakes but for now these will do, ill put them on later some time and post more pics

01-15-2011, 02:38 PM
Brake upgrade FTW.

01-17-2011, 12:16 AM
do they fit?

01-17-2011, 02:02 AM
hubs will fit right on the car, and later on i can get prelude rotors re-drilled to 4X100 and they work with these hubs.

01-28-2011, 11:38 PM
right i have experienced fail with my civic gearbox, it drove sweet for 1000kms after i stuck it in but it started making noises and the other day it felt like the clutch wasnt disengaging it was hard to get into and out of gear and the engine would nearly stall when you let the clutch out in neutral. also when coating to a stop it felt like the brakes were on. So today i pulled the gearbox again and pulled it apart.

found some metal in the axle seal

and metal in here

lets pull the box apart

you can see here where the gears have been grinding on the casing, so there must be a bearing fucked or something..

and this one too

01-28-2011, 11:38 PM
i have a donor box with a fucked diff i might just swap the diff into it and run with that, this one has been in a crash so it may be damaged from that and thats why it fucked out when i put it in.

ill put the diff and casing back on this box and it should be good to go
