For those who might remember, I'm the guy that owned the 87 LX-i that was totaled after a car crash involving a Chevy Cobalt, too. I attached some pictures to refresh the memories.. I recently bought my 5th Accord (it happens to be my 4th 3gee) after junking the 1st one :'( and selling two. I still have my 4th one (94 EX) and I am pretty excited to have a 3gee once again. It's the same color as my first one (champagne / gold) and it brings back SOOOOO MANY memories.. *sigh*

Anyway, so I wanted to share it with you guys. I also attached some pictures of my cars for you to see. I have more pictures but apparently I can only put 10 up. Do not hesitate to comment or criticize (:

nope.. the civic was involved in an accident, too. it needed a few front end parts to be road worthy again and i didn't have time for a project back then so i sold it. i sold it for good $ too. i bought it for $100 from a friend, put some work into it, crashed it, then sold it for $400. lol.

the new accord on the other side is def. a fun project. i'm already in love with it :) i bought it for $250 and put $100 to it in parts and about 4 hours of work (not counting installing my new stereo, of course. lol.). it still needs a little more work even though i took it for a 3 hour drive this morning and it drove great! :)

what's a webber 38? and i thought about efi conversion but it's not worth the $ or the time i would put into it. i might as well go buy an LX-i with the $ i would spend to convert it. some people are getting rid of their 3g just because it doesn't pass inspection.. sad.. but good for me :) even if the conversion was cheap, first i would need to learn how to do it myself. so there goes that plan. lol.

anyhow, what happened to your 3g? do u still have it?

dang that thing looks nice. i will look into it once i'm done getting it road worthy. today i was trying to figure out if i could change the timing belt myself and it looks like it would be a pain in the a** to change.. it also recently started making a weird noise right where the tensioner is.. i have yet to figure out what it is.. i think i will post another thread and ask for advice later on.

anyway, good luck with the civic. the one civic i owned was a nice little car and i really used the heck out of it (such as throwing a 2.0L engine in the back and driving it until i get 2 flats and kill the rear struts) but it never failed me. i even towed my ford probe with it once!! but i would def. not recommend doing so. lol. i didn't have a better choice at the time. so yea good luck

yeah there fun cars haha and thanks man,

and changing the timing belt shouldn't be to hard for ya. hardest part would be getting the crank pully bolt off

the noise could be a bad tensioner or water pump

Thanks. That's a pic of my engine bay actually. Best thing about converting to a 38 weber is the power increase. It seemed like a whole new car after I installed mine.

if its the water pump its really easy to replace on the 3g i changed mine and only took a few hours(would be faster if i had to do it again). i didn't need to remove the engine mount or lower timing belt cover ether
