absolutley yes, as long as the said turbo is in usable condition

you will want to research the models used in which oem apps so you know the specs

Also Study it...dont just think oh im putting a turbo on LOL no no no my friend...you need a way to supply fuel and control em...so a safc and btm and 450cc blue tops if you what or a lower 340cc.. you need to make your own manifold an charge pipes. if need a half size radiator. theres no way your gonna get a t3 in ther unless you do a side mount. Anywho. learn how the redo your pcv system under boost. need to get a base start on safc and timming. and need to figured how to make a down pipe which a ass face to do Need to have money lol...something i didn have for awhile...alot of things to consider...Do a comp test and make sure your block can take it...if one of them is lower i wouldnt do it...SO man do your research...I can tell you i learned most of turbo basics on homemadeturbo.com...hoped i help

yeah yeah what he had said, I thought OP meant just the turbine. But yes, the turbine is only part of it, you still need the plumbing and an engine management system or modification that can be interfaced to adjust the injector function and timing curves.
You can rig up a rough boosted set up with bare bones parts but it will not last very long. The whole idea with a turbo set up is durabiltiy, reliabilty, streetability.

so what can you do to our cars that will add 30 hp without 1500 dollars?

intake.header, exhuast done from header, cam. b16 intake manifold. shit like that well get you about 20 hp gain but to gain high numbers you need forced induction.

yeah turbo can get costly....you also got to remember to get a good clutch....hardest part is to get a manifold and tune it

about how much would all that cost? I am planning on getting headers, a cherry bomb, straightpiping the car at 2.5" all the way back to a 3a racing muffler. I already have an intake, the car is still really slow.

um header is a bit steep....bout 200, cam is 120 from delta. b16 mani is 25-30 bucks. exhuast it verys depending where you live..i get hook ups lol but

Yea, or get a A20a4 dizzy and ECU, that way no EGR, than it makes 122hp. plus every thing Randon, Roodoo and Messy mantioned, you'll have 145hp tops, minus 25% on friction so by that you'll only have around 105-106Hp@wheels

Rendon LX-i
03-31-2009, 06:19 PM
what if you get a a20a4 and a ecu.....and no CEL for egr? im used to it anyways

i've been running no EGR for over year and dont throw a code unless i unplug the sensor wire for it. i just made an aluminum block-off plate for the pipe to manifold connection. blocked off the exhaust port. used some Permatex black on the intake manifold, all is well.
