hello everyone:

The vibrations in my '87 Accord seem to have increased these past couple of days..especially in the shift knob and the clutch pedal..its not very significant..but when the car's moving and u put your foot down on the clutch pedal...very slightly,. you feel the vibration..more than it was previously :(

i am thinking of using some additives with my engine oil etc.

Is Zmax anygood?

I am also thinking of changing the tranny fluid..

What r you guys suggestions? My car's the base model and so its not fuel injected :(

you mean your car vibrates >?? does the steering wheel vibrates ? or when brake is applied ! ? does it vibrate in idle ?

its probably ur engine mounts in their last days. Get urethane mounts if possible, if not get the stock ones from the dealer .

Go with your first thought......changing trans oil.....remember to use 10-30w motor oil in trans. Wrong oil in there could be a disaster.

For our trannies 10W-30 is for cold climates, 10W-40 is for warm climates

I'm with smufguy, it sounds like one or more of your mounts are going. Check them soon or your axles may be next.

mine does that and its the mounts...i bolted the engine down but then there was to much vibrations when idling ...but it was smooth and no more shaking when taking off...so i took it off and live with it..
I want to get the solid mounts now,,,

Thats what i would go with.

hmm I doubt its the mounts..cuz the vibration seems to be coming from the engine/tranny....I'll change the tranny oil and see if it helps :)

yeah change the oil ! i think if your engine mounts are bad then it should vibrate in idle !
anyway check your mounts and see if they are cracked ( liquid coming outa of them !)

just on one note, if u did drive a car with a hyrdaulic clutch, then yeah our 3g direct cable clutch does vibrate more. just so that u know :)
