your going to have to redo the belt, set the cam gear to TDC and set the flywheel also

but i set it correctly, the cam shaft gear was set to up and the flywheel was set to the plus, then i check to see if it lined up and it did

did you change the tensioner?
double check to see that the tensioner was properly adjusted and tight, should be no slack in the belt once everything is in place and the tensioner is adjusted.

well no i use the same tensioner, it runs and drives but it wants to die if u dont give it any gas but otherwise, it runs great, no rough idle, no jerking, its smooth

Thats kind of the easy way out. Its better to have it all aligned correctly.

His timing was probably not right before he did the timing belt. Now that the crank and cam are lined up properly, doing the distributor timing will help it run better.

P.s. use a timing gun.

just do it.
I had the same problem when I installed my Adj. Cam gear.
Better to have it done right then to tale the easy way around it

well before the belt broke, the timing was off and it had a rough idle and i could only go up 2 85 mph but now i can take to 100+ mph easy
