That's not saying much. You could run a Volvo with cat urine in the crank case and it would run good. :bowrofl:

Perhaps some explanation is in order? Define "kill" and how do you use Lucas in such a way as to accomplish it?

I swear I posted here yesterday and it is gone?
I would say :stick:the oil pump fail, internal pressure loss from the o ring gasket being split.

^^^^ so true...that stuff is reallllllly thick and that would cause oil pressure to SPIKE there for bybybybybybybyby oil pump..

lucas is good shit. fuck all this other dumb shit. people are quick to blame anything else for a engine failure, except for themselves. i've been running lucas for YEARS. sounds to me like you either put too much in, or have underlying problems which CAUSED a engine failure.

no, you killed your car.

I'm going to say the previous owners put it on death row, and I just strapped it to the chair.

I guess it's not quite dead though. I think my oil pump is just too old and worn to pump that stuff. Caused some low oil pressure and now I have a nice rod knock. Didn't even run it for more than a minute in the driveway.

I didn't think it would be a problem, since I have run Lucas in an LXi before and it worked great. Just worn parts that couldn't handle the thickness.

Needed a new head anyway. Now I just have even more of an excuse.

*Edit*
I followed the instructions on the bottle and only added 20% of my total oil capacity...
I added a whole bottle with 3 quarts of oil to my old LXi and had no problems at all.

Well there you go; worked in one engine, killed the other one. Sounds like you're right about the oil pump. Get your B-series on.

college? I learned that watching too much tv. lol

you can buy the oil pump gasket sets at honda, that is all it took to fix mine. 16 bucks
easy job to do as well but you have to loosen the timing belt
Why did you put lucas in to begin with? like taking exlax if you are not constipated :stick:
