Hey everyone, I'm from Victoria, BC, Canada, I've been trolling the forums for a while now so i decided I'd finally post some pictures of my car.

I haven't done anything special to it, it's got 265,xxx km on it and some minor rust and a few dings on the body, so I'm still debating weather or not i want to put any real money into it. That being said, i bought it off the original owner of the car, he's got to be 85 years old, and had the thing dealer maintained with records of all the work, so it's in pretty good shape.

I was getting a nasty tick(especially on cold starts), as well as what I'm pretty sure is pinging at low rpms under heavy load, so i adjusted my valves, and while the tick is gone the pinging still remains. I've tried switching to 91 octane but to no avail, i think i should redo the exhaust valves as i set the clearances to .006 and .010 when i think it should have been .011. Other than that I've done the front brakes, run some seafoam into the intake, and put a set of 205/50/15 Nitto Neo Gens (i work at a tire shop) on a set of 15 inch Acura wheels i got for free (one is rather curbed, but the price was right!).

Enough talk though, here's the pics.

This is a great website though, I've been trolling since i bought this 3 months ago, I've just never had a reason to post because there's already so much information available.

Well sir, if there is a car worthy of "real money," yours is it. That car is awesome! It's in cherry condition, manual trans, clean, nice visors and looks like there might be a sunroof up there too. Oh yeah, and it was owned by a senior citizen who had all the proper servicing done at the dealer. You are living the dream man. There are a lot of guys on here (like me) putting real money into cars in a lot worse shape. Please, please, please restore it and if you don't, sell it to someone on here who will care for it properly!

Oh, and welcome!

Clean! You should be just fine with those clearances, provided you set them correctly...

Nice car. I guess BC is easier on those older Hondas than Quebec is.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure that you are finding that these cars are easy to maintain, and will reward you with years of trouble free service. Not to mention they are addictive! You've got a nice one there- don't feel apprehensive to drop a few loonies into that one.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! I haven't been on very much lately, but this forum's been so helpful already. There's a few minor issues you can't see in the pictures. The guy who owned it before me had those rubber reflectors that slip over the edge of the doors so the paint is a little scuffed up underneath. Not to mention the sunroof drain issue was solved by putting a bead of caulking across the entire seam of where the sunroof meets the car!
And yeah from what i understand the K-sport c/o's seem to be the best route to go, so after I save up a little cash this summer I think that will be the plan... Anyone have any first hand experience with them?

to fix sun roof just pull down headliner and clear the 4 drain tubes out they tend to cloged

Haha yeah i already took care of that one, I had the same problem in my old MX-6. First thing i did when i got the car was rub all the caulking off, so the first time it rained here i got quite the surprise when i left for work in the morning!
