Hi, I am a Honda technician, but alas, had no Honda. my daily driver was a mazda miata (which are excellent cars), but just wanted something different and started searching craigslist for cheap hondas. Found my new 1986 accord LX-i Hatch. Bought it for $800. 5 speed with new clutch. Very straight body and very good original white paint, only flaw on the interior is front seat cloth splitting on outer seams and some driver side carpet wear. It has the rear glass aluminum louvers in perfect condition. The only real flaw with the car was a very bad oil leak which turned out to be the oil filter cooler/adapter o-ring. Found this site the next day. And the fun begins.

Thanks for the welcome. I am definitely keeping the louvers. I took them off when I went to have the windows tinted. (first mod):cool:. I will get a pic of it when I put them back on. I live near OKC and do see a lot of 3geez running around, but have not noticed many that are fixed up. Trying to decide if I like the VX wheels that are on it or not. I may want to put some SI wheels on. I will have to browse all your pics to see what I like on it. I only have 1 pic at this time. This is a cool website. One question, there are latches at the bottom of the louvers, but no pins on the car for the latches to engage. what type of pin or whatever is missing? It looks like whatever is missing is supposed to mount directly on the glass. Whatever it is, I bet I will have to make something anyway. Thanks again.
