Ok, i jus saw a brake light warnin pop up onto my dash. So i go to check it out, first check the fuses.....fine.... so thats not it, go check the bulb, and its badly blown. i look a lil bit around and notice alot of water in the housing. Basically the water seal is broken and now i have to figure out how to make a new one.

Did ne1 have this problem b4?(i know its common with old cars) but if it did, please tell me how you went around fixing it.

I drilled a very small hole at the bottom of the tailight which solved the water problem. Yu can use a bit of silicone around the sponge gasket that goes between the tailight and body to solve the actual leak problem.

wouldn't i have to remove the fixture itself? is that what you did?,
i am thinking about removing it and then sealing it. what do you think?

That's what I meant (I should have wrote it in more detail). Take off the 6 or so 8mm screws and pop the tailight off and put some silicone on the sponge.

I discovered 2 small drilled holes in my left rear tail only after my accident, turns out they were drilled for the same reason and it seems to work just fine

my car had an accident a long time ago and i have some water that only appears in the morning. I've been thinking about taking it apart and drying it then sealing it. I'll try the drill thing first. How big of a hole should i drill?

look for some cheap dinner table placemats made of high density vinyl foam. They are usually 1/8 to 3/16 inch thick. Trace the original onto the placemat, and cut the gasket from the placemat.
I've found that in my case what had happened was the studs had pulled away from the plastic housing alittle, thereby increasing the body to housing space.
