As the title says, the injector fuse keeps blowing when we try to start the car. Its been sitting for 5 months ish. keeps cranking but wont "catch". I read a thread where it said the ECU might be fried. Anyone have this problem before? Any advice? Does anyone have a wiring schematic for this circuit?

if it was sitting and is now suddenly blowing fuses, check the wiring harnesses under the fenders, and under the hood, you just might have mice. they like to climb up in the fenders and chew the wires to pieces

So we tried putting a 20A fuse in there, it blew but with a 25A it didnt ( I know bad idea lol)

Pretty sure we do, it's my buddies car and he called a backalley mechanic :dunno: to look at it. it blew the 10, so he put a 20, blew that and he put a 25, it blew the 25 so he wrapped a wire around the 25 "to make it stronger" :wtf:. Im guessing there is a short in the wire somewhere. Main relay was changed, fuel pump too. That leaves wiring and ECU/

thats more like a back alley idiot, just put a piece of metal in there and watch to see where the smoke comes from.

sounds like water got in the resistor box and shorted it out , the resitor box is that twinke looking metal box on the drivers side fender well

IN the fender? or in the engine bay?

Turned out the ecu was fucked. We put a new (used) ecu in the bitchand she fired right up

that would do it.

You will find the ecu will still be good one of the protection diodes in it will be letting current both ways instead of one way.

i found this out and fixed my ecu at the same time in a parts car by doing exactly what you did. using a wire as a fuse, it made the faulty diode in the ecu blow up and then everything worked sweet lol.

ECU might have been getting wet under the seat be aware of that.

Also check your grounds esp. the one to the head and there is one on the fuel rail that is very important and easy to overlook.
