I had 18's wrapped in 215/35/18. if you get 18's you have to get those size tires along with a wheel spacer or else they will hit the strut housing. I never had any problem with that set up, no rubbing what so ever. if you want to see more photos look at my profile and click on the car domain link.

Yeah dude that CAI really cleans up that bay. That stock airbox is one nutty ass setup. How'd you get the oval throttle body to fit that round piping??

Thanks, yeah seriously the stock intake is a little to much. the throttle body is round, the actual stock intake tubing is oval in certain sections so it just bolted up. the intake does go from 3" down to a 2.5". 1st section is for a 3rd gen prelude then the 2nd half is taken from my 91 hatch, i just used a hack saw to modify it a little to fit. Here are some full engine bay pics.

OK so i was messing around with these spring clamps that were put on my black hatch to keep the big a** 17's from scrapping the wheel well, i put them on the se-i and compressed the front springs to see what it would do, i got 1inch and a half maybe more maybe less, the ride in the front is very stiff, i guess you could say its safer than actually cutting the springs and ef'ing up the spring rate. imo its just what i wanted. unfortunetly spax springs will not fit any u.s manufactured cars, i asked spax before i spent my money.:sad2: looks like kings is our only alternative. i purchased these springs clamps from napa autoparts, two clamps with bolts and nuts for 6.99, total about 14 bucks to lower the front end. all in all try it out if you dont like it you can always take them off.

Well it looks good. I've never seen the spring clamps before, that's pretty interesting... I'd personally rather cut the springs. It's not unsafe to do so, and the spring rates don't increase too bad if you don't cut too much out of them.
I'm so confused why they say the springs won't fit our cars? From what I've seen, the suspension setups are the same between the cars. Maybe someone in the UK can post up pics of their springs or suspension. I can probably see the UK spring rates being different, or the cars being lower over there or something, but I have a hard time believing that they manufactured different spring perches for the different markets. Maybe they just found that the UK and US part numbers were different, and didn't have a US car to test them on.
You should tell them that there's a whole market here looking for springs for these cars, and you'd be willing to do a test fit for them. ;)

Right the weight of the car does differ us car are heavier according to spax. i might try and cut them to match what the eibachs look like. i saw your post of the stocks and eibachs together, but for now this will do. When i talked to them i told them theres a dozen guys who want these springs, i still have my file with them so i can place my order whenever.

I got a set of those clamps online (summit i think) a while back, but haven't installed them yet. Have you noticed any camber issues or uneven tire wear? I guess an inch or so wouldn't really cause much of a problem. Also was wondering what the color code is on your car? Very nice 2g btw

no i havent noticed any camber wear, i got mine from napa but they do sell them at autozone and kragen. like you said 1 and sum odd centimeters doesnt really affect it at all just cleans up the wheel well a bit. my 15's should look reall good when i get them, all in all any drop for our cars is better than not having one at all. my color code is yr-66m. Cant wait to see it when the 15's go on. And I know what you mean, I can fit my head inside my wheel gap.
yr66m=Barlee brown. Mine is yr52m-Savoy brown, I thought for sure they would be the same, they look pretty close. Yours might be just-slightly darker I think.

Minor update, got to install the carpet today, still have to paint the interior trim pieces(tan Color) black along with the gsr grays and the conversion will be done. also tried to get those darn seats belt off the gsr seats and just use the sei ones, darn bolts are on there, soaked them in wd40. carpet looks shiny in photos but smells like a new car though:D also did a weight reduction of the stereo system. hope you enjoy.

I agree. I had those clamps on my 84 Accord back in high school and they were pretty scary. The metal brackets started to bend over time and the nuts would always work their way loose. I also had them pop off while driving a few times which was interesting to say the least. I finally threw them away and just cut one coil per side off the front and two per side in the rear. The ride was a little bouncy but really no worse than a typical coilover setup. Never had any problems after that. I got a little bit of camber wear in the front but regular tire rotations helped with that.
