I'll spare you the details, but I'm doing a G1 Integra hybrid transmission. I couldn't come up with an Accord 5th gear, but I managed to find a mint Prelude 5th gear. I know the 86/87 SI swaps right over, but what about the DX? I'm aware the ratio is slightly lower, closer to the Accord, but can anyone confirm or deny fitment?

The 85-87 si is your best choice for the gear ratio, and yes they are a direct swap.

Well, the Integra is a .82, the carb Prelude was .757 and the FI was .77, and Accord was .69. FI Preludes are hard to come by, and this was the first one to come into the yard all year, so I went with it. I know the FI gear will match the Integra gears, but I need to know if the carb gears I now have will work, or if I have to put this off even longer until the FI gears pop up

he's not asking about the transmission he's asking about the specific gear, people need to read before they answer questions...

invader, i can't help you much but i can read enough to not just post uselessness in here for you.

Bump for info. I still can't find a precise answer, but I know the 86/87 carb Prelude has the A1B5. These gears came from an '85 carb. The Majestic part numbers are different for all gears on both the mainshaft and countershaft, so that's got me a little worried. Anyone know what code the '85 DX was?
