My "brake light" light on the dash comes on from time to time while driving, any idea what might cause this (and my brake light bulbs are working fine).

It could also be low fluid as there is a float switch in the master cylinder.

The brake light with the word "BRAKE" on it or the brake light on the schematic on the dash?

Good catch, anchovies. I see that he probably meant the "brake lamp" light on the car schematic. If you don't have a burned out center brake light bulb then it woudl be something else wrong in the circuit. I saw another post about a problem like this a couple of months ago and I don't remember what the verdict was.

doesnt it mean there could be a problem with the brakes also...??
check fluid ..or if it comes on while drivin wack the ebrake lever a bit...

I know my sisters old prelude had that...start hitting it and it fixes itself..hehe...only for somethings

"Brake" means either you have low fluid or the ebrake is engaged (or the switch has a bad contact)

"Brake Lamp" means one of the bulbs is burnt (don't forget to check the center one in the rear window) or the sensors are bad.

Wiring could be going... My brake lamp came on one day for a few minutes but the lights worked fine.

Did you try it while stepping on the brakes :D
Anyways, it might be the sensor.

there's a little black box bolted to each of your taillights on the inside of the trunk, I had to change mine already
