Where is the power relay for the A/C? In the fuse bux under the hood there is a cooling fan and a sub cooling fan relay, would this be it, or is the for the coolant fans?

Theres a 10 amp fuse in the box under the dash for the AC clutch. Not sure about a relay for AC it self. The fans I think you are correct there in the box under the hood.

What are your problems?

My problem is, the clutch isnt kicking in, and i wanted to start with checking the relay. I checked in the fuse box in the dash, i didnt see an ac fuse, do you know what it is labeled as?

Its the #5 fuse. Its a 10 amp ATC fuse, plastic style GM fuse I call it. Your rear defogger wont work and your heat controls lights wont be on at all.

The only relay i see is for the condensor cooling fan.

If the AC compressor does not clutch up its usually because it is low on freon. The low pressure switch is under the hood inline the AC hoses. I cant remeber which side but I think its near the dryer.

Low pressure switch is located on the reciever itself.

You need to hook up a set of A/C gauges & go from there on your low & high pressure readings. Then look at electrical.

#13 it has a rubber boot covering it. Looking at the engine from the front it is next to the radiator upper left side, kind of hidden a bit near your overflow tank cap area. The battery has to come out to get a 10mm on the bolt.

the relay is mounted on the LHS engine mount bracket - along with a twin diode

I replaced mine for a BOSCH 40 amp - made for eternity and looks nice too
