awhile ago i posted a thread on rebuilding my a20 but now im thinking if it would be better to do an engine swap can someone please give me their opinion on which would be cheaper for the best performance? i want to spend no more than $1500 for the swap/rebuild and i want a faster car preferebly one that will keep up to a civic si i understand it might be unresonable but which is the best route to go?

neither option will work for under 1,500 to keep up with a si sorry

depends on which gen si... it should allready be smoking 84-98 si's... going to have a problem with the 99-00 but doable... dunno much about the ep3.. and theres no way ur beating a 06+ si without turbo..

i wanted to atleast keep up with the 99-00 si's and i have about 4grand to spend but i want to use most of the money to make it look nicer but performance is really important to me

ummmm
ya its gona cost roughly 800-1000 just for the stuff to swap an engine in not including the engine
now if you can come up with a complet b series for 500 then your set

Buy B-series mounts. And then, obviously, a B-series.

dump that 4K into a build should be able to walk on si's easy, would either be a nice turbo A20 setup or a B18 swap with some simple stuff on it
