My A/C Compressor a (DENSO) lost the rear seal so i decide to upgrade it to a (KEIHIN) i know by doing this i will need to change the mounting bracket to the (KEIHIN). But this is what i need to know? can i use the hoes from the (DENSO) on the (KEIHIN)? I went to http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=ACCORD&catcgry2=1989&catcgry3=4DR+LXI&catcgry4=KA4AT&catcgry5=A%2FC+++++COMPRESSOR+KIT+%28DENSO%29 and they dont show any hoes for the (KEIHIN). So can any one help me with my Q?

Uh, the Denso is the better compressor. The Keihin earned the nickname "8-year compressor" from mechanics. My original went bad when the car was two years old and I had to replace it again at ten years. I put in the kit from Honda that includes a Denso compressor and it has been in the car for ten years so far.

This is good news to me. Since I put the Denso kit in myself. And the only thing that will ever be cycling thru its hoses is R12.

:werd: Switching from Denso to Keihin is definitely NOT an upgrade.
