A lot of higher end alarms have the same basic functions. They will cut the ignition and fuel. Then for the extra money you get the whole cool FOB, range, options such as closing windows and so forth.

i haz that lol. i honestly dont trust most car alarms just because how many car alarms do you hear go off in the middle of the day and no one ever does anything about it.

i just paid a little extra for a paging alarm. plus when i have the cash im installing power locks into it.

I bought ebay paging alarm and it went dead after few months. I have installed couple of them in friends/family cars and its been almost a year and they still running like a champ. It all depends on your luck.

And I have to agree, most car alarm is just useless. Nobody ever see or do anything when it went off. Plus with most shit installs, they can be disabled in less than a minute.

ive had mine for a few months and everything is still good. if someone were to disable mine itd still at least start to send the signal so i know about it.

plus, i have a removable cd player and a removable steering wheel haha. and if im in a bad area i take the wire from the coil to the distributor off.

Yeah I guess I'm just unlucky with the unit. I did stealth install on all cars and they gonna take a while before they could disable the thing. I was planning to get battery backup to go with it but eh..

That and well hidden kill switch gonna help a lot.

dunno if i'd trust an alarm with out all black wiring or no batt back up siren.
one with an aux siren driver is cool thing to have aswell, put one inside the cabin aswell.
ever tried sitting in a car with an internal siren?, you wouldnt sit there for very long eh
