OK the car runs great in the lower RPM range as well as the upper RPM range. It feels like it's missing during the cruising RPM's there is some annoying hesitation, if I downshift and rev it up the power comes back. Its shakes and bucks a little bit even when the cruise control is on. any ideas?

89 LXi, no check engine lights or anything. Otherwise runs and sounds great, the cap, rotor, plugs are all new.

Hows the advance diaphragm?

check the fuel pressure and hows the filter?
you may also want to check for vacume leaks. check the plugs and see if they are burning lean, if they are there is a good chance its pump~filter~fpr.

yeah my coupe does that too...like it bucks down from like 2500-3500 then after that it takes off....for me i blame it on the distributor...i cant wait to obd1 this car again

mine was sort of like that when I had the o2 sensor wires switched

had a civic did it if the revs were under so many rpm cruising it turned out the leads were stuffed

I think this might be it, I will switch them tommorow. I have the pacesetter header.. are the 02 sensors in the wrong place or are they just plugged into the wrong place?

I had the same problem with the pacesetter... You need to swap the O2s connections.

well Ill be damned, Mid range power is restored and it feels like it pulls harder through the rev range.. I guess it was making run really rich. now the green plug is plugged into the white one on the arness and vice versa. Awesome.

yeha no doubt, I was about to start driving my Civic Si again. But now the accord pulls great!
