The real question is; Is it worth it to you? It's irrelevant if we think it's worth it or not. It's not just drop in the motor and go. You have to learn the whole electrical system of that car, because you won't even be able to make so much as the speedometer work. The SHAWD will probably never work right due to modifications to the drive train, and tire size changes, you'll have to weld in an entire rear subframe, cut a tunnel for the driveshaft... And then all that work, and isn't the SHAWD automatic? How gay would it be to do all that work and have an auto when you were done?

it can be done, anything can be done as long as you have all the wiring and ecu/other controllers for the whole system to work.

Everythings possible man, as long as you have skils and have tools to do it, Ouh and one more very important thing Motivation. Because in such uild you'll run in 1000 different problems...

If I hadn't seen Vectors build I would tell you this is impossible... but I won't.
Instead I will tell you it is probably a huge waste of time and money (pretty confident in this).
If you have money to do swaps like this, just buy a capable car to begin with, you will be much happier with the result... TRUST ME!

Why not just do a body swap to the TL? It'd probably be easier and lot more reliable.

in reality if you do the work yourself, the cost is just parts... thats what motivated me to do this build, i think since i'd owned my 3g, it has only about 5g's into it to this day. and the rest was just my time.
so hey, if you can get your hands on a write-off doner.. you will be alot further ahead than you think. thats how my rwd project started... with half a cb7 lol. be prepared to fabricate alot if not all of your own parts as well.
